I ordered the Bitoque and shrimp cakes as take out. I got back to the hotel and opened the packages. No shrimp cakes - cod cakes instead. There were well made but was very disappointed I didn't get what I ordered. The bitoque was a huge let-down. I am used to a bitoque with Spanish fries. This had regular fries. Bitoque usually comes with a pan made sauce. Not a drop of sauce was included. The steak tasted great as was the egg, but I was very disappointed that I did not have...
The 1st i went to eat we dined in. @ 1st i thought great this is a lil hole in the wall bar. Wasnt expecting much. The person i went w said food was good! Ok, had a few drinks was hungry. We had lobster & sides. I was actually very impressed! Food was great! Came again had shrimp & rice, great again! Every meal ive ever had was always very good. When u 1st pull up & walk in, im sure most dont think their going to get much from the meal. No its not a big fancy restaurant...
This is one of my favorite gems off the beaten path. I’ve been going here for many years and the food has never been anything but delicious. If you like Portuguese food, you will love the Fez. The prices are very reasonable, too.
