I like the concept of this place, relaxed, easy, airy, yet with a bent towards sophistication, but there were several misses. First the hits... The mussels were very well done. The sauce was deep, rich and well executed. The big boxy bread was a treat - and the butter a perfect herb infused compliment.

A fancy, expensive restaurant with genuinely good food. I had the pasta with cream sauce, and the portion was much more generous than I expected. A couple people with me raved about the fish. Dessert was a shared creme brulee, which was a little toasty in flavor. Overall, a good meal. Reservations are a must in the summer. Be warned: it's BYOB, with a corking fee for wine bottles.
We stayed in Aquinnah this past week. First night we needed to find a place to eat. Called here and was greeted by a very friendly person who made us a reservation for 7p. We got there right around 650. Parking was a little tough but we ended up in the market lot next door since they closed at 7.
