I don’t know about these other reviews but this is 5 stars in my book. Great view. Great food. Great service. And this is not my first rodeo.

I wish I took a picture of my husband's swordfish, was no more than a half inch thick. We looked at each other and laughed. Never saw such a thing. Not cheap either, then a surcharge for the kitchen. Seriously? Insulting.

it's a 1 and done place. views are great but.. food is ok, my friends paid $80 for 2 lobster rolls and 2 sodas, the bonus was the shell still in her sandwich, almost broke a tooth. ours was almost $60! Our dinner at Red Cat kitchen cost the same and was way better.. like I said 1 and done, it's too bad.

We called to make a reservation and they said they didn't have anything until 8:30 but at 5:30 we walked by to go to the Gallery and the entire restaurant was maybe 25% full - there were tons of open tables and was still that way when we left at 6:30. The restaurant only offers a prix fix menu for $87 per person. You can't just order a normal meal there. They'd probably have more customers if the menu were more flexible and they managed capacity better.

Great food. 3-course meal under $100. Dry city so bring your own bottle. There is a pour charge. Service was relaxed and casual. If you have someplace to be...let your server know to speed up service.

What an absolute treat! Couldn’t have asked for better weather with that deck view.

Our server, Bella was attentive, gracious, and conversational which added to the experience. The food was phenomenal.
Each menu course offered great options. I had a hard time choosing but the server gave excellent feedback and guidance.

I wish I had taken more photos of the food but we were so immersed in an all around enjoyable dining experience. Capturing it digitally was an after thought.
As a table, we shared a shrimp cocktail and cornbread. The shrimp was big and tasted so fresh. The cornbread was perfect and gave me a teaser to the stuffing in the quahog I ordered. ?

•Our first courses included a beautifully balanced watermelon salad and the buttery and savory flavors in the stuffed quahog. ?
•Second courses included the steak, scallops, swordfish and fried fluke. All 5⭐️ dishes. I was lucky to taste test the others.
Scallops were tender and perfectly cooked, the swordfish was the best I’ve ever tasted, the steak was excellent if you’re not feeling seafood and I was really surprised by my entree, the fried fluke. Their spin on fish and chips…the onion rings were buttery crisp delicious and the fish had a different breading that was light, filling but not heavy and the Coleslaw was tasty.
It’s a dry town. BYOB is a nice option. They put our bottle on ice and gave use glassware.
•Dessert selected was key lime pie, blueberry cobbler served in a cute mason jar, and they were out of the strawberry rhubarb pie but they did have a peach pie option served with ice cream

I highly recommend.
We got a little dressy celebrating a birthday but it’s casual dining. Indoors and out on the deck. Oyster bar outside as well. Great atmosphere and great music gave a light and fun vibe. I’d love to return.

We have enjoyed for many years and the view is fabulous. The lobster dinner, stuffed quahogs, mussels and key lime pie were delicious. Our calamari, salmon and scallops were all served undercooked. The waiter apologized and fixed the issue as soon as he could, but it’s clear there’s some issues in the kitchen. In addition, the cost of the meal is getting out of hand. Portions were small, especially with appetizers and desserts. And in years past, the cocktail setup included high quality tonics and an array of garnishes to make drinks and has now disappeared. Unsure if we will be returning for awhile.

Our food was good, service was decent. My biggest issue is the price of the kids menu. How can you charge $35 for a kids chicken tenders or cheeseburger. The kids menu should not be a set menu price and should be like $15, not 35. Even $15 is relatively high for a normal kids menu.

Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

First time at homeport. Bella and Kian gave us great service and made us feel at home every step of the way. We will definitely be back for sure!

We go to home port every year during our vacation and this was the first year we have had a bad experience (and by bad I mean terrible). Multiple people had issues with their food (I .e steams were filled with sand and the waiters response was “that sucks I’ll tell my manager” and that was the last we heard of it, corn with the lobster had zero flavor, fries with the steak were under cooked with zero seasoning and swordfish was under cooked).

I don't like leaving public reviews like this, but I did send them a message and it’s been over 2 weeks with no response. I want to put this out as a warning so another family doesn’t have to experience what we did.

I have never once reviewed a restaurant until today. From the second we were greeted at the door with absolute chaos, the service was terrible, and the food was mediocre at best. We waited over an hour for our entrees. We had to take our desserts to go due to waiting for 2 hours for our dinner to arrive. At $80+, soft drinks were not included and costs around $20 per three drinks. Although the location is very pretty, that’s all the restaurant has to offer. You are really better off going to the seafood shack on the corner. Save your self the time and money. Don’t go! (total bill was $200+ for two people!)

We have been going to Homeport for years (25 at least) and waited through the COVID closure and were so excited when they opened again last summer. We went and although bummed about the loss of the take-away window and pre-fixe addition for both inside and outside, went anyway with adults and had OK things to say. We went this past Friday for our annual dinner with our kids (my husband’s favorite place on the island) and honestly don’t think we’ll ever be back. The pre fixe menu price went up again which is ridiculous and the food was worse - just mediocre (minus the oysters), and nothing to write home about. The kids menu is ridiculous - only options are butter noodles, a small plain burger and fries, or chicken tenders, which comes with a dessert and soft drink for $30. We usually skip the kids menu, but for $83 per person this seemed insane. I asked if my kids could at least pick something from the appetizers instead of the desserts and was met with a $7 upcharge each. (To top it off my oldest got food poisoning and was sick in the middle of the night.) It was $20 for them to give us glasses and twist off the top of our bottle of wine, and all in the experience for mediocre (and some bad) food was $450 for our family of five (with three kids 7.5, 6, and 3). This is not even fine dining - people are bathing suits, and coverups, cut off shorts, and the interior is the same as it always was. The patio has a more bougie feel than the inside, which is not something at all that matters to us, but good food and not gouging pricing does. The service was good, the waiter was very kind and attentive. It’s sad, the business model seems to have averted to completely and totally taking advantage of people for the view and it’s really just not with the Vineyard used to be about. Bring back the window, options for people to choose what they want to order and how much they want to pay, make food that’s worth the money, and review your business model. This is insane!

Yikes! Over $500.00 for a dinner for four people. Left hungry and needed to stop at Mickey D's for a cheeseburger. Small portions for each course, ridiculous prices for appetizer and bottle opening service (open your bottle at home and bring your own glasses). Tables were sticky, inside was too warm and dated. Whatever you do, realize there is a parking lot attendant who will remove a cone so you can park and she can get a tip. Otherwise, you'll be berated in the parking lot by said attendant. Bon Appetit.
