Overrated chowder and bisque they give you robust samples but even though the broth in both are excellent, there isn’t even an ounce of solid ingredients in a cup. Maybe a tablespoon in the chowder two small pieces of lobster in the bisque. They may have won best but not with our servings!

This is based on our experience today, picking up a couple of lobster rolls for lunch. Not good. Not good at all; maybe we had very high expectations based on the experience our friends had a few weeks back. We had hot lobster rolls, which were mediocre at the most. For 29 dollars you don't receive value for your money. The service is ok, they are attentive, period. It's a nice, set up for a joint right on the beach. That's nice, but it doesn't worth 29 bucks for a lousy lobster roll.

I ordered a cup of clam chowder and a fish sandwich. Not only the cup was tiny, there were no clams in it, two small pieces of potato was all solid parts of the chowder I could find. The fish sandwich had flavorless boiled white fish. Very disappointing compared to my prior experience with this place.

The lobster roll was tasty but quite overpriced for the small amount of meat inside. It was 29$. I bought a roll at the Lookout Tavern and 1/2 roll had more meat in it than this place for basically the same price! A perfect place to dip in for a quick bite and enjoy a nice lobster roll and a cup of chowder. The place was very busy, but they had my lunch ready and served within five minutes. Friendly staff and lots of cool things to look at while you wait. I stop here every visit!

Ok, we had a bad experience at another local fish market and decided to give Menemsha Fish Market a go. We are so happy we did, we ordered the hot butter lobster roll, bun was toasted nicely and it came pre-buttered but wasn’t mushy, didn’t seem microwaved like some other places and had great taste. Not a lot of seating but right on the dock and a quick walk to the beach. We will definitely be back!

Hot lobster roll was amazing and ready in less than 5 minutes. Barely any wait. Had to wait over 30 minutes just to order a lobster Mac and cheese at Larsen’s next door. I highly recommend this place. The roll was soft, super buttery and lobster was very fresh. Don’t let the dingy appearance fool you
