We were looking for an old time diner and man did we find it with Lou's. A tiny one-man operation where that one man is the hostess, the waiter, the fry cook and the bus boy. Each plate is made to order and it was great! The menu doesn't have prices, but the old time order board does. We got a huge plate of breakfast goods plus a soda for $10. We will be back!
This place is underrated. It’s everything you’d hope it would be based on how it looks from the outside. Like stepping back in time. An absolutely classic diner. I took my daughter here on a daddy daughter date. The chef was Lou’s son who said he’s been working there 54 years. My daughter had a “Mickey mouse pancake” and I had eggs and toast with coffee. Lou's catering was recommended to us by a few people to cater our Moms bereavement. The recommendations were NOT wrong. Lou's menus are easy to navigate and simple to substitute, the food was delicious and plentiful. He and his staff were amazing in keeping dishes full and plentiful and clearing plates from tables as they saw them complete. Incredible services through and through. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
