My first time dining here, not my last. Everything was piping hot and delicious!!!
You're immediately greeted with warmth and friendliness at Ava Cucina.
My companion and I shared the Calamari ..
crispy, tender, delicate with banana peppers and fresh Marinara sauce. Perfect!
The Pinot grigio was light, fruity and refreshing.
While we took home leftovers of the enormous portions of veal Parm and veal Vincenzo, we HAD to share a dessert of outstanding, DElicious Tiramisu.
Our compliments to the Agostino/Woodworth family. We can't wait to come back!

I Came across this place while driving through this cute town. As soon as I’m entered, I was greeted by three different women. One was a customer at the bar. One came with children as well, and they came to greet me. Then, a third, approached me, and welcomed me. To me, that set the stage for such a friendly and inviting restaurant. It seems to have regular customers, and everybody knows each other and greet each other with news of their own families. The waitress was prompt to sit me in a comfortable table and asked me if I would like something to drink. I asked her questions about how the food is cooked and she was very candid with me. I really appreciate that. I ordered the pasta fagioli. It was very tasty and the fresh celery elevated it for me. The small shells were a little overcooked, and that was the only flaw of my meal. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara with sausage, and that is what’s pictured below. The sauce was delicious. The macaroni was done to perfection. Al dente. The small coins of sausage were sliced for easy eating. If I am up this way again, I would definitely stop here for some very good unassuming Italian food.

This is a great hidden gem. The portions are generous yet the quality is good. They have small plates for kids. The wait staff was very attentive. Enjoy!!

We got the pasta and a pizza... the pasta was in a pool of broth, not white wine sauce, but the pizza was good...

The prices weren’t horrible but the food was. They wouldnt serve it at Olive Garden. My son that hasnt met a pizza he didnt like wouldnt touch more than 1 slice. The only 2 servers were nice but just not good at their jobs. Bar mngmnt 101 sell the drinks. To not have a drink menu of any kinda and not realize the revenue those bring in is amazing. Oh and the one unmarked bathroom doesnt lock.

First time at Ava Cucina and my last. My chicken scampi was so bland and boring. My friend ordered pasta fra diavalo with mussels I tried a little and the mussels did not taste fresh. The appetizers were actually good not fantastic just good. We got stuffed mushrooms and calamari. I also wasn’t exactly fond of where they decided to seat us. It was an extremely hot and humid nite and they sat us in a green house style part of the restaurant. All the glass windows just made it very hot and a bit uncomfortable and I don’t think the ac was on at all. Not an enjoyable dinner experience at all very disappointed.

Had dinner here last night and it really hit the spot. Chicken Parm and Chicken Gorgonzola to satisfy the red sauce / white sauce cravings. The waitress was a doll and kept our 2 year old son Vinny entertained so we got to eat our meals for once. Highly recommend, reminds me of the old school restaurants in the North End.
Kid-friendliness: Warm, welcoming and un-pretentious kid-friendly spot.
