The 2 of us had dinner in the Liberty Tavern, very small and historically quaint. The bartender took care of our drink and food order and the team brought food to our table. Within 30 minutes the place was full. The bartender juggled the entire room like a seasoned pro (along with the team bringing food out to everyone). Very impressed with the overall experience and our day visiting the area. Will be back again!

Excellent service, ambience and cuisine. I have been coming here since 1967 to celebrate my birthday. It's like coming home.

Food is good Service was terrible - kitchen backed up and not enough servers No ambiance in the restaurant This is such a beautiful inn from the outside and in much need of a complete renovation inside

The Sunday brunch at the Colonial Inn was a highlight of our trip to Lexington/Concord. The Inn had great Colonial ambience and the food was to die for. The roast beef was tender and juicy, the omelette station had great fixings, the desserts were to die for...Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail too. Just yummy!

We LOVE the Colonial Inn, especially in the fall. We had lunch on the porch, and it was delightful. I had their clam chowder (5 stars) and waldorf salad and my companion had the grilled chicken sandwich. She asked for no arugula and somehow the kitchen thought she didn't want any greens, but our waitress (who was AMAZING) checked on our food and when she saw that she went to the kitchen and brought back pesto and lettuce. That kind of attention to detail is so important! Drinks were creative and the ambience couldn't be beat - fall in Concord!

We dined on the porch. The weather was gorgeous. The service was very good and the food and wine were excellent. We shared the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious. Planning to return.

Seating, food, and service were great. However at the end of my meal I realized my water glass had wet red lipstick on it. Not a stain, it wiped right off. Meaning the glass was not clean when put on the table.

We had friends from out of town who had never been outside of Boston. We took them here to get the true colonial era vibe and this hits the mark. It was a nice night so sat outside and enjoy the view and watch people go by. Inside is best for larger parties. Crab cakes and jambalaya was good. Services was spotting, with number of orders getting messed up.

Delicious crab cakes with coleslaw and Colonial Inn root beer at a quiet table where my friend and I could have good conversation

What a disappointment! We ate here some years ago and it was so wonderful we came back for Thanksgiving-another hit! We were so looking forward to our return. We were seated inside in a smelly, musty room (it was not like that 15 years ago). The floor vibrated under the table so much that my chair shook; had to change tables. The waitress took our order, brought out a cold cornbread loaf which tasted like it was made from Jiffy corn muffin mix (nothing wrong with that, but I expect that at home, not in a restaurant) and disappeared so long that my husband had to search for the manager, and we asked to sit outside. We just started our appetizers and three forkfuls in, someone came out dumped our main courses on the table and left! My appetizer was okay,(hard to kill a wedge salad) but the buffalo wings did not taste fresh. Main courses; neither was very good, baked scrod and southern fried chicken that did not resemble anything near to southern fried chicken. Everything had a strange aftertaste, either the food is not fresh or the pots and utensils used for cooking are not clean. Left the food there after three bites. This was probably the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. It shattered all our fond memories. What a disillusionment!

We were warmly greeted when we arrived, and were given a choice of outside on the porch or inside dining. Our waitress was excellent and very knowledgeable about the daily menu. The Yankee pot roast and the baked scrod were both delicious, and were plated with style. I would recommend the Concord Inn as a great part of a Massachusetts experience.

I've been going to this restaurant several times a year for some time now. My fave dish is the salmon burger which has gone down slightly in quality recently. The main issue for me and my companion is the service, which was bad during our last visit at lunchtime. It took a very long time for our server to take our order, get our food, and to get our check. A side I asked for when placing my order did not arrive; it took 2 requests to others for it to finally arrive a while later. Barely saw our original server.

Clam chowder very good; house salad a generous portion. Chicken pot pie and Yankee pot roast both proved to be excellent choices. The Indian bread pudding was also very good.

The dining room felt like we were in a cafeteria. No decor. Our food arrived before the drinks. The sangria came in short glasses, no ice. It was warm. We had to ask for ice. Overall not a great experience.

Snooty hostess. They put us in a back room by the main hallway and waiting area, all on our own even though the restaurant wasn't busy.
