This bakery and coffee shop is located next to a babbling creek. There is indoor and outdoor seating, the service is good and the food is exceptional. Following the advice of others, I parked in the parking lot of the bakery and then took a pedestrian bridge over the creek to the bakery. One orders up front and takes it with you, either inside or outside. I went with their local drip and a bear claw. The bread on the bear claw was exceptional. It was fresh, not just a sugar bomb, and melt in your mouth good - it was also huge, which was good as i was hungry. Sitting outside while watching the creek and listening to the birds really brought the blood pressure down a bit. I really enjoyed this place and i think you will too. Highly recommend.
I found your bread at Whole Foods in Portland ME. ! I purchased the Rosemary Garlic . It was good I just wish the flavor was a lot stronger .
Went here for lunch and had a cheddar and arugula sandwich. The arugula and cheddar were ok but the bread was stale; odd for a bakery. Maybe this was an off day but it was pretty disappointing and pricey for what it was.
We ordered our breakfast and waited for our meal to be prepared. We then took it outside and enjoyed our breakfast by the brook. It was a good choice. Service was good and food was very good.
I can't put my finger on it but have been here many times. maybe it's that there coffee gets cold quickly or that it's in a dark dungeon-like location that needs serious remodeling but this place is just okay.
I took my granddaughter here for lunch after her skating lesson. As others have said, it’s hard to find this place. My suggestion is park nearby and then look for the address among the brick industrial buildings. The location makes sense as the location also houses the Nashoba Brook bread factory. My granddaughter said her grilled cheese on French bread was the best sandwich she ever had- and she orders grilled cheese whenever she goes out to lunch. I had chicken salad on multigrain bread, and it was obvious that the salad was homemade and the bread very fresh. What was disappointing were the desserts. My granddaughter had a cupcake, which was fine for her 6 year old palate but I thought was tasteless. I ordered a biscotti, which was hard as a rock and not the least bit flavorful.
We used to be great fans of Nashoba, especially the quiches and the breads. We’d always stop by on our way back from BOS to Western Mass. But within the last year, the quiches have become glutinous and inedible. We threw most of them away. But we still WANTED to like the place. Stopped today for take-out chicken noodle soup and bread. The soup had maybe four noodles in it and a couple of bites of chicken. Bread, as always, was good. That’s the last time for us. What’s happened? Change in chef? Cheapened ingredients? Just don’t care anymore? Even the cookies and brownies were unremarkable. Sad to see it go downhill.
We spent 20 minutes searching for this place. It was impossible to find, even with Google maps. No signs that we could see.
Best breads and patisseries in Central Massachusetts, are served at the counter for dining in, deck dining or takeout.
If you can find this place (it's not readily visible from the street) you should be pleased with what's inside. Sandwiches, quiches and similar items are fresh and served reasonably quickly. There is limited outdoor seating along a brook in the nicer weather. The ordering and pickup areas are a bit cramped but that's not a complaint limited to this restaurant.

We probably go here almost every week for either breakfast or lunch. It's just such a "feel good" place between the smells from the bakery and the delicious food. Always check the specials on the board first, but if that doesn't do it for you they have many great items all the time on the big boards and even more stuff in the display cases - especially the desserts! Eat at a table inside, or the couches at the rear, or picnic tables outside, but always save some time to watch the bakers at work through the many windows at both the front entrance and from the dining area. Bliss. Parking in their front lot can be difficult at peak lunch time, but either park on the street or in their rear lot (around the block and then walk across a cool bridge over the brook).
Went there late afternoon- were in the area and read great reviews on the place. Hard to find- you really have to look. Didn't see any outside signs at all, and had to rely on Waze. Once inside, were pleasantly surprised. Lots of pastry and bread selections, unusual sandwiches, or design your own. Note that there are no prices listed anywhere. We got two small sandwiches and it was over $20. Wish we could have stayed to enjoy, but had to get food to go. Cute tables and couch area to sit and enjoy food inside, or go outside and sit by the water. The cashier wasn't the least bit friendly, and the food took a very long time to come out. Will try again next time we are in the area.
The bread is always fresh, and the sandwich choices are aplenty. For just under $10 you can build your own sandwich (meats, cheeses, vegetables, spreads, etc). My favorite is bread is their baguette, and the ham/cheese/arugula/apple sandwich with honey mustard is the best one. In the warmer months, take your lunch outside and sit along the brook and enjoy. Otherwise the inside dining area is very comfortable with couches and tables.
