Not normally a solo eater, I stopped by the Club Car Cafe in W. Concord, yesterday, and had the most delicious lunch. I ordered the veal parmigiana sandwich which came with fries and, on a 90+ degree day the iced tea I ordered really hit the spot. The veal parmigiana was as good I’ve had at many Italian restaurants. Food was good. Home-cut fries. Local feeling, including 2 dogs under a table. The train, which kids were excited to see, was only an engine and caboose. Food was not fast— but go to a fast-food establishment if you want fast food. Prices seemed high for simple sandwiches and burgers. Server was ver welcoming and friendly. Fun to eat in a real old train depot.
Got coffee and bacon eat and cheese to go this morning on my way to work. Ended up needing to sit an take a phone call. Amazing fresh BEC sandwich, good home fries, good coffee and was served with a smile. I’ll be coming back! I wish the sandwich and fries were under $9 but unfortunately it’s tough times out here.
