My boyfriend and I were really looking forward to trying Bamboo in Dedham, but our experience was so uncomfortable we left before even ordering food.
When we walked in, all the staff were sitting down eating, which we don’t mind at all but the hostess greeted us with no smile and literally talked to us with a mouth full of food. It already felt off, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt.
Then our server never introduced herself, made zero effort to be welcoming, and just bluntly asked, “What do you want to drink?” No warmth, no vibe, just cold energy from the start. We felt so uncomfortable we decided not to stay.
When we told the server we just wanted to pay for our drinks and leave, she snatched the menus from our hands, slammed the check on the table, and then hovered over us like we were going to run out on a $3.75 bill. It was honestly disrespectful and made us feel so judged, discriminated, and unwelcome.
We’ve never been treated like this at a restaurant before. It wasn’t just poor service, it was a vibe that made us feel like we weren’t wanted there. I never leave reviews like this but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects even basic hospitality.
They do NOT have a buffet. Haven't for a long time. In that long time they have never updated their information or photos on their listing.
bald dude was super rude with me and my girlfriend, we got the place around 915 to get some to go order and he just closed the door on our faces putting his hand on the way, saying “we are closed” and saying there was people smoking inside the place as well… I don’t know why you guys have that 945 time closing on the google if ur going to have this kind of attitude with your costumers a way before you even actually close the doors.
The food was okay. The fried rice had no taste and the teriyaki beef skewers were overcooked. The service was as simple but the atmosphere was great.
My husband and I eat a Bamboo quite often. Last night we went to a function and after the party we were hungry so of course we went to Bamboo and the food was delicious as expected. They NEVER let us down.
We ordered chicken and beef skewers along with crab ragoon as dine in, and we ordered salt and pepper wings, beef fried rice, and beef and broccoli to go.
My husband gave his card to pay the bill. On the merchant copy of the receipt for the tip, he put $0.00. The waitress took the book and walked away. As her back was turned, my husband put $22 dollars in cash on the table. The waitress came back to the table and showed my husband that he put $0.00 on the merchant copy.
My husband, who is always calm, pointed to the cash on the table. Immediately, I had a bad taste in my mouth.
I definitely will return. However, I did not like that at all.
I came for the buffet option as it clearly says in google maps. The lady said no buffet 5 year now. Very disappointed!
I NEVER leave reviews. Had a running running nose, ran in to get some napkins from the bar and the employee Alvin and bartender said i had to pay for it. I'll share this with other media sources.

I was not expecting good Chinese food in the burbs of Boston, connected to a hotel. But, I was pleasantly surprised by Bamboo. It’s a beautiful restaurant with comfortable seating. We were there for dinner and it looked like they may have a daily lunch buffet during the week. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean.
Now the food. We had chicken lo mein, which was so delicious. Sometimes this dish is dry on Chinese restaurants, but not here. We also had the garlic duck which was so special. It’s large pieces of duck in a brown sauce with vegetables. We had the pork spareribs for an appetizer. We will definitely be back!

Ordered through Ubereats as weve done 25 times before. They gave driver wrong order which we sent back and asked them to rectify, which they showed no interest in correcting, otherwise asking us to reorder after waiting 2 hours for our food. Not centered on assisting customer, when assistance needed.
