I used to love going to Big Bear, but after what I witnessed this morning, I felt incredibly inclined to write a review to let people know why I won't be going back to this store anytime soon. I was there when the OWNER started yelling at full volume at an employee just because she had to use the restroom. I can say without a doubt that an employee's right to use the restroom should never be a reason for such public humiliation. It was really uncomfortable, and about six other customers walked out because of it.
As someone who has worked in customer service and the coffee industry, I know there's no excuse for treating employees like that, especially in front of customers. Management needs to make some changes quickly if they don't want to lose more customers. It's a real shame because I used to enjoy coming here, but I don't tolerate upper management's disrespect of its workers like the one I witnessed today.

Good coffee for a reasonable price, great food. Big Bear became our weekly coffee place while we lived in Dedham. Can be tricky at times for seating since it is popular, but they have indoor and outdoor options.
