Had a very nice dinner here. I had the spicy peanut noodles and my friend had the glazed miso tofu- we both also had a hot drink from their extensive cafe menu! Hers was the blue spirulina and I had the lemon ginger tea. Everything was very tasty, the staff were great, and they also compost leftoversđ Updated from previous review on 2025-01-25
I was such a huge fan of Life Alive when I lived in Cambridge and was thrilled when one opened near my new home in Dedham. Unfortunately, my experiences have been so different at the locations, especially the food and service.
I've been in several times and the service has been okay - not good, but passable. This last visit, we waited a long time to even place our order while the cashier wiped down empty tables, despite me making eye contact and signalling that we were ready. Since they didn't respond, I thought that I needed to find someone else, so I went back to the kitchen to try to find an employee, and they called the cashier wiping tables over. Once we ordered our three items, we waited for 20 minutes. That's totally understandable in a rush, but the restaurant had 4 other people there, all of whom had their food already, and one to go order came up the whole time we were there. There was no communication about a wait or a check in with us as we waited.
The food at this location also leaves a lot to be desired. I haven't been blown away any of the times I've visited, but the noodle bowl I got most recently was gummy and flavorless. The only flavor was from raw jalapenos. I could only eat a few bites. It's so far from the incredible flavor at the Cambridge location a few years back, and I'm disappointed that this won't be the go-to I thought it would be.

Slow and disorganized kitchen. No ability to prioritize orders - seems haphazard.
I ordered the Autumn Falafel bowl and a smoothie for takeout, but unfortunately, both were disappointing. The smoothie tasted like plain coconut milk with no flavor at all, and the bowl was extremely dry. I couldnât drink the smoothie or eat the bowl. I feel like I wasted $35 for nothing.

Life Alive ever since it opened in Dedham,MA has been a great place to enjoy fresh food with a modern outlook. I have always enjoyed visiting the place for its ambience and their ever interesting menu. However, during my last few visits, although the food was great, the staff taking the orders seemed very hasty/ inattentive, therefore my order ended up being incomplete/wrong order. This has led me to request my order to be made as requested to which the serving staff has been accommodative. I would hope the staff taking the food order could be more attentive and place the correct order as asked, which would make the experience much better.

The setting is so pretty and comfy. The food is so delicious that I would definitely come back to try more.
Nicole at the front register is amazing!!!! She was so friendly and welcoming. I already love this place so much and dine at most of the locations, but I will definitely be coming back to this one more often. Thank you Nicole for being so accommodating and friendly! She definitely made my already good day even better.

This place is so elegant and the food is very much what I love and miss about working near Cambridge!
I used to get âThe Rebel.â The menu has changed, but this Rainbow Harvest is nearly the same thing.
Itâs so nutrient-dense and delicious, the bowls are biodegradable, and the ambiance of the place is so relaxing and yet tasteful.
Fully accessible.
Handicapped parking nearly directly out front.
Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible.

Takes way too long for pickup orders. 20 minute wait for 2 smoothies is just not acceptable.

Great spot, Bright and cheery outside seating. I had a wonderful sunrise smoothie. The salads are really, really good as well. I had a warm kale, avocado, mushroom salad. Everything honestly is pretty good and healthy! They have creative meals, Plenty of space for handicap accessibility. Parking you may have to drive around in a minute, but itâs a big parking lot.
Dietary restrictions: They have lots of gluten-free options add vegetarian
Parking: Legacy places is pretty busy depending on the time of day you wonât have a hard time finding parking
Wheelchair accessibility: The building is street level wide doors. Plenty of space on the inside for a wheelchair.

The chilled Thai peanut salad was delicious - so fresh and beautiful. I also had the kombucha and an iced tea and both were fire. Great spot for healthy food!

Was told can't serve due to unavailability of cold cups after we reached to pickup the online placed order. Could have had courtesy to call and save us a trip. No apology offered. Just was told to either wait 40mins or order will be refunded
