This place is incredibly busy, so if you’re in a hurry, don’t come here.
Sat at the bar and waited quite a bit before somebody walked by and asked me if I wanted something to drink. I got a beer, appetizer wings, and a side of fries. Taste was OK
40 bucks with tip. Not worth it. The service sucks. There’s no interaction whatsoever because they are so busy. I will not be returning here.

Food was subpar. . .fish tacos disappointing for lunch. Quinoa bowl was decent but lacked any sauce. . . Wouldn't be my choice to go back before other places available.

This place is always a disaster but Tuesday, Nov 5 was the last straw. I understand it's annoying to arrive at a restaurant when it first opens, but we ended up there because the hours ARE listed as opening at 11. I parked in front of the restaurant & helped my handicapped mother out of our vehicle. She can barely walk. The entire facade of this restaurant is glass windows & doors, so the staff watched all of this happen. We stood outside until 11:05, looking through the windows directly into the eyes of the employees inside. Mind you, 5 minutes is a long time to stand - when you can’t. The staff did not bother to unlock the doors, even just to come say "sorry we're not ready." This review is not about being annoyed they didn't open right at 11, because things happen & it's understandable to be running behind or whatever the case was. This review is to state not one employee had the human decency to come address a handicapped woman trying to enter their restaurant. If you can stare into the eyes of a disabled person & neither allow them entry nor a reason why you're not allowing them entry into your establishment, you have no businesses working in the service industry. Shame on you all.

I was in Dedham for about 2 weeks for work and Tavern in the Square was my #1 choice for drinks and food every day. Special shoutout to Carly, Morgan, and Zach (hope I spelled their names correctly) for being great staff. 10/10 recommend coming here… oh and the buffalo wings are amazing!

Our server seemed to want us gone. She slammed the check down while we were still eating and never came back to ask if we wanted another round or dessert or anything. She barely checked on us and seemed to just want to flip the table. It was super rushed and uncomfortable and weird.

This reminds me of Tommy’s tavern in NJ where I live. There is something for everyone. Its also clean in there without that “bar” smell. The
chicken tenders weren’t good. Not crunchy enough. The buffalo cauliflower was delicious. Its your standard bar fare but kicked up a little. I enjoyed my time here and it was pretty busy. Would come back when I am in the area.

Good food but over priced for what you get.
Really bad bar service today.
You could drop dead at the bar and nobody working there would notice. I had to find someone to be able to order a refill, but you would think they'd want to increase the check for a bigger sale and bigger tip. Not here.

We have given this place multiple chances since I’ve always liked Tavern at other locations and have always enjoyed the food. However this locations staff is truly lacking. The service is so terrible, no matter if it’s at the bar or a table, it’s as if customers don’t exist. It takes 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge existence, and there’s no sense of urgency to being drinks, check on guests, cash them out, etc. With 5 bartenders and a manager behind the bar with 10 guests you’d think this wouldn’t be an issue.
After every visit we’re left there trying to pay our check with no one to care- if we were terrible people we could easily walk out on our tab every time. Still tip 20% because I won’t tip less than that, but for good service i would leave a lot more. It’s unfortunate that after many attempts, each time thinking it couldn’t be like that every time, we’re finally crossing it off our list.

Came here with my wife on a Monday night after 10 pm. The restaurant was pretty empty. Took 15 minutes for a server to come over and greet us. Got a couple of apps which were the only decent part of the meal (wings and bang bang broccoli). For entrees my wife got the chicken burrata sandwich. Only took a couple of bites as it was very bland and flavorless. Fries undercooked and soggy. No one came over (server, runner, manager) to ever check on us. I got a Cesar salad with steak tips. Paid 24 dollars for a salad with a few croutons and 3 pieces of steak that were very chewy and overcooked. I get that the economy’s tough right now but to pay 24 dollars for that little portion was pretty sad. All in all 2 decent apps and two disappointing entrees led to a 75 dollar tab not including tip. 30 minutes went by before the server came out from the back of the empty restaurant to ask if we were all set. Very bad experience. Looking back, I would rather have donated $75 to charity and used the $15 tip money to get something at Taco Bell. It would have costed me the same money and I would have gotten the same quality meal but I would have felt 10x better about how my money was spent
