Everything was good. I like that the menu has good options as well as a special. The only thing I didn't like is they brought us the check without even checking if we were done ordering as well as my child was no where near done with her meal.

Apple cinnamon granola pancakes are fantastic! The potatoes are cooked to perfection! Food is fresh and they get their bread from a local bakery. Everything here is amazing!

My kids ordered the short stack of pancakes that do not come with any sides for $10.95. They also ordered home fries and bacon for $4.50 and $3.75 for a total of $19.25. I didn't look at the menu closely when ordering and didn't realize that the pancakes didn't come with the sides for that price and that they were add ons. When the bill came I thought it was expensive so I looked at the menu again to see that they were charging for these individually. If we had ordered the "Big Rig" breakfast it came with a short stack of pancakes, bacon and sausage, 2 eggs and toast for $14.25. When I asked our server about the price difference she didn't understand what I was talking about. When I explained it to the manager she told me I should have ordered the "Big Rig" and there was nothing she could do. I then asked her to charge me for 2 "Big Rigs" instead of the short stack, home fries and bacon, this would save me $10.00 but she said she couldn't do that. Then the suggested tip rate on the bill includes the total including the tax. I guess some people may not notice that the owners are intentionally overcharging the customers but I will never go back to a business that plays the "gotcha game" and makes you scrutinize all the prices to make sure you don't get taken for a ride. I don't do business with companies like that.

Love, love, love this diner. The service is fantastic—one of our favorites is Iluminada-the food is terrific and the menu has a wide array of choices. It is also very kid-friendly. This is our granddaughters’ absolutely favorite restaurant and they always comment on the wonderful customer service. (Their words!)

The atmosphere needs some character, feels like a temporary thing. The food and service are decent/average which isn't necessarily a bad thing for a family brunch where you want to please everyone.

My wife I going to breakfast on a Sunday morning we sit at one the high tops after our waitress guided us there. Our waitress comes over with water and takes our beverage order. Comes back 1 minute later and asks if we need another minute bc we are still looking at the menu, and we say yes we need another minute. We then watch her as she waited on other tables, walked around laughing and joking with fellow employees, answers the phone behind the counter 10 feet from us and never and then begins to seat new customers not ever a single time looking or glancing in our direction to see we have put the menus down indicating we are ready to order. This goes on for approximately 15 minutes. She NEVER CAME BACK. We finished our coffee and left. We will NEVER go back. POOR POOR POOR SERVICE.

Going to Grateful Dedham Diner is always good. The food is tasty and the service is exceptional. Our server, Iluminada, is terrific. She's very friendly and attentive, she's a keeper. We'll be back.

Came here on Sunday late morning early afternoon. The diner is just a loud chattery room. No music or anything playing. Very stale vibe. I ordered the eggs Benedict. I asked for the home fries to be extra crispy- they came out underdone. One of the poached eggs I took a bite of and also got a bite of egg shell- I don’t even know how that’s possible. The other poached egg was overdone. The hollandaise sauce was broken and flavorless. I am not quite sure what people are reviewing positively about from this diner. My friend ordered the steak Benedict with medium rare steak. It came out with dried out overly well done steak. Same broken hollandaise sauce. The server took it back to be corrected and the second steak came out just as well done. I can say that the server we had was sweet and very helpful but I would not come back to this place.

I've been going for about 2 years now. The food is always excellent. I had the corned beef hash for the first time today. It was the best. The omelets are always great. The wait staff is very friendly and the service is always great. They're always right there to refill your coffee cup. Illuminada is my favorite!
