A charming, well-run inn with handsome antique and reproduction furniture on a tree-lined street of exquisite historic houses. We stayed two weekday nights in a standard room with 2 double beds on the first floor of the Carriage House. That was lucky because the elevator was out of service for the duration of our stay and we had some heavy luggage. Our room was spacious and comfortable with pale-colored wallpaper and drapery. The Deerfield Inn is an historic inn, with wallpapered walls and wood floors in the hallways that creak when you walk. But it has all the modern amenities. The temperature control is excellent -- responding well to AC and heat demands very quickly (I was there during a week when both were needed!). The bathrooms are all updated. All the employees are very kind and helpful. While there is not a refrigerator in the rooms, there is a small one that can be shared among the guests....read full review
