Really dated resturant. Fries had no seasoning, burger was overcooked, and far too overpriced. Won't be going back, was disappointed enough that I went somewhere else for dessert

The owner and the manager and waitresses were very rude very unprofessional. My daughter in-law went there 2 years ago said the service and food was great My son and daughter in-law and I went there on Saturday 11-8-2025 It was about 15 or 20 minutes to order then when we did order we waited over 1hour 15 minutes to eat the food was luke, warm. My daughter in-law bit into a clam strip and thought she broke her tooth she was afraid to eat anymore we had seafood the way it came out the food was saturated from the frying oil like it hadn't been changed in weeks I had coleslaw that had a fish taste to it like it was stored with open fish in the fridge we asked to speak to the manager when she finely came over she wanted the food my daughter in-law spit out in the napkin so obviously. the manager didn't believe her I ask to have her meal comped the manager left never came back I asked to speak to the owner eventually The owner came over was disrespectful rude and very unprofessional, for an owner of a restaurant. first of all, the kitchen was backed up.He should have been in the kitchen helping the cooks second of all he shouldn't have told me to get out of his restaurant the way he did.....
Obviously a well established restaurant serving the Deerfield environs, we first stopped there by chance last year on a trip to Vermont. Located a couple of miles off the Interstate, you will quickly discover why the parking lot and the restaurant are full of what are obviously local fans of the restaurant. Remembering a wonderful and friendly experience, we stopped again this year and we’re so glad we did. Our waitperson, Rachel, could not have been better - especially since the restaurant was again very busy. My wife and I shared a bowl of seafood chowder and a blackened halibut sandwich - both of which were very good. Be advised this is neither a fancy restaurant or is it fast food. If you don’t require either of those things, stop and enjoy a terrific small town dine-in restaurant.
Yummy food, lots of choices, good service, and reasonable prices. We loved this place so much we ate there every night during our stay in lovely Deerfield. We had a really good margarita, the seafood platter, fried chicken, meatball grinder, and a huge, delicious fried chicken salad- and we recommend everything we ate!

Our server was so distracted, barely paid us any attention and then pressured me into an additional drink. Food was ready for a long time before she even bothered to pick it up to the point where three out of four entrees were cold. Two of them were for children, so imagine the fun of sending that back. Just disappointed. Way overpriced kids fare, especially for it to be cold on arrival to the table. A ribeye was overcooked and calling it lukewarm would be very generous. But honestly, the server was just completely cold and totally inattentive and used other servers to do her work for her. Wouldn’t go back.
