The Pheasant Reviews
We had dinner at The Pheasant, the service was warm and professional, the surroundings were intriguing and welcoming and the food….. the food was thoughtful, creative, and downright delicious. It’s the kind of meal where you talk about the taste, keep sharing bites and keep eating long past when you are satiated because it just tastes and feels so good. Unique and sophisticated outdoor seating atmosphere, genuinely lovely and gracious staff, top quality and interesting food, specializing in local sources, farm to table, celebrates the wealth of bounty on Cape Cod.

The Pheasant offers an exceptional dining experience in a cozy 250-year-old farmhouse setting. The restaurant's wine dinner events, featuring a winemaker and Executive Chef's delectable dishes, are a highlight. The atmosphere remains charming and inviting, making it ideal for special occasions or weekend celebrations, supported by a stellar wine list and local options. The food is outstanding—dishes like the beautiful fettuccine with clams, the scallop crudo in aguachile, and the rich potato millefeuille are flawless and delicious. The seared mushrooms and giant beans serve as a hearty introduction to Fall, while the poussin is crisp and tasty. The staff provides impeccable, personable service, ensuring every visit is memorable. Although the menu is small, it showcases creative, locally sourced ingredients, and the drinks are innovative without being pretentious. The Pheasant has a cult following, so reservations are encouraged for this hidden gem. While some find the prices high, the experience—from the dreamy service to the exquisite food—makes it a favorite spot on the Cape. Though there can be delays in service, the overall experience is lovely and worth the wait.
