So my drinks were okay.
The ginger beer I drank while I waited for her to make my plates. It to me was more like a ginger lemonade, not strong. The sorrel had too much clove, but was still good.
My rice and peas tasted burned but wasn't burned on one plate, and oddly sticky and bland in the other. Some of the curry goat was good and some tasted like a little soap was on it.
The curry chicken some pieces had flavor and some had none.
My plantain was very good.
Maybe I caught them on an off day, but I didn't finish my rice and peas.
I was disappointed.
It is a small shop. I heard the baked goods are great but I didn't get any. It was very disappointing.

Jerk chicken, BBQ chicken, rice and peas, and fried plantains were all amazing. The chicken fell off the bones. There was so much food it could've been two meals.

Visited Monserrat today, a small island in the Caribbean.
The national dish is Goat Water, which is basically a goat stew, and they only make it on Saturday, so instead I had collards greens, cabbage, and BBQ chicken with Sorrel (a Hibiscus-based drink, which want my favorite).
I also tried a bit of a pineapple and a coconut “turnover” (which is nothing at all like the turnovers we refer to in the US. Good. Also unique).
Most of the world runs on cabbage, and, sadly the veggies are dripping with oil! My belly can’t handle that much oil, nor do I want to consume so much fat, but the foot was delicious!!! I do wish steaming vegetables was more common ?.
Thank you for sharing your food and culture!!!
Two stairs to enter make it not super accessible but you could order and call to have someone bring it down the stairs I’m sure.
Also, if there was any AC, it was not strong. It was super hot inside.

Went there to pick DoorDash. The ambience is friendly and the staff is smiling even tho the place was steaming hot, which doesn’t matter cause it’s a take out. But I really got concerned about the ladies at the stove ? I’m proud of that lady for her restaurant. The food looks delicious also.

The owner Violet was a pleasure to work with from start to finish! I placed a catering order for my mother's repass and was beyond pleased with the service, communication, and quality/taste of food. My order included herbed chicken, curry chicken, fried whiting, rice and peas, macaroni pie, salad, and plantain. Everything was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend!

The price for the amount of food is unmatched! Wow. Lemon cake slice was absolutely delicious! Very moist and not too sweet. The Herb Roasted Chicken was somehow over and undercooked. The collard greens, while cooked to perfection, were way too sweet for my liking. So sweet that the juice from the greens coated the bottom of my mac n cheese which in turn made that sweet also. The mac n cheese was also cooked beautifully, but my gosh was it salty! I think the top layer may have been processed cheese. I really wanted to love it, but I just couldnt. Unfortunately, the probability of me ordering here again is very low. I'd get the cake though!

Was looking forward to be WOWed,I ordered the beef patties they were not the typical beef patties they were small and I dint like the taste of them, thru them away. Got the jerk chicken ,rice and peas, sweet potato and plantain. The plate was heavy and the two items I most like was the yams and plantains, rice and chicken was good. Now the star of it all was the lemon cake, moist and not to sweet.oh and I got a side of Jonny cakes they were ok. Now would I order from here again yes if I’m looking for a side to go whith a dish I cook . I was looking to say OMG this is good but not to be told. Thanks

Their salmon, greens or cabbage, peas and rice are top notch. They give very healthy portions
Parking: I recommend parking in the church youwon't be there that long. Do not park behind the building in that parking area or risk being towed.
