Not that great and food was not presentable

Our family of 5 loved the experience! We had so much fun ordering, watching the plates come by and getting the prizes. The food was amazing! We loved all of the sushi we ordered. Next time we'd pass on the cold edamame and the miso soup. The fries were surprisingly really good. Would recommend and will be back.

I was so excited to go to this spot with my family but unfortunately we had an incredibly rude person at each interaction with staff. We were not spoken to upon arriving. We arrived about an hour before closing. When I asked if they could explain how the process works (first time guest with me) the tall skinny server with glasses was incredibly sarcastic and had a nasty attitude. And then walked off without an explanation. Please talk to your staff about being cordial with customers. Not sure if this was a weird bias moment or if this is a general problem with staff. This experience was totally unacceptable.

Kura Sushi Revolving Sushi Bar at South Bay Boston was such a beautiful way to end our last date night in Boston during our wedding trip. My wife and I had an amazing experience from start to finish.

The whole concept makes the dinner feel fun and special. You sit down and the sushi comes around on the revolving belt, and you can also order specific items from the tablet that arrive separately. Even the drinks were delivered by a robot, which made the experience even more memorable.

The sushi was incredible. Everything tasted fresh, especially the fish, and I genuinely loved every bite. The ingredients felt high quality, the ambiance was really nice, and the fixed-price plates made it easy and fun to try different things. We also loved the little prize you get after putting in 15 plates — such a cute detail.

For dessert, we had the gooey butter cake, and it was honestly out of this world. The watermelon was also super fresh. Everything we tried was delicious.

Overall, this was an amazing experience and the perfect way to close out our Boston wedding trip. We’ll definitely remember this date night. Highly recommend!

Great option for Sushi, good variety and a very fair price, you can also order the rolls for the same price as a plate if you want something specific but won't want to gamble on it coming down the line. Only complaint is the robot that serves drinks, very cool to see but took 10 minutes to get water from it. Would absolutely recommend and comeback!

This spot is low-key rundown but the sushi was delicious. They don’t have a lot (at all) pre-made sushi that’s rotating in the belt, but i think maybe thats due to avoid food waste. I actually liked ordering fresh off the ipad so we got hot and fresh food every time. I just don’t recommend the ramen because it was a SALT BOMB and came out room temperature with the pork belly being cold.

I really wish they would get rid of the robot drink-server. It takes too long to get your drinks and it’s hard not to grab the sushi you want because it might not come around again. So you find yourself grabbing that sushi roll before you get your drink thinking “it’ll be here by the time I finish”… Think again. Or sneak in a bottled water for the first 10 minutes. The food was good and it’s a fun experience- I think that’s the main catch of this place. The food comes down a conveyor belt. But the truth is that if you don’t sit in the first few booths near the conveyor belt (I imagine that the only options left for the last booths are edamame), you either wait exceptionally long to get what you want or end up eating sushi you wouldn’t necessarily choose. In the end, if you want an experience, definitely try this place once. But nothing matches the experience of ordering the sushi you want and then getting it without having to watch the table next to you snatch it from you.
