Grille on Main Restaurant & Bar

Walked in a 12:40 pm. A few people sat in the dinning room. Waited 5 minutes to be seated, greeted by no one and left.

Met up with a friend I hadn’t seen since in a few years and due to proximity, we chose this restaurant. Food was nothing to spend time talking about so I won’t but what will bring me back to this restaurant was the incredibly friendly staff and casual, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere though not in the least fancy (you simply don’t experience that anymore and it was the most relaxed I’ve felt at a restaurant in years). We sat for nearly 5 hours (at no time did they need our table due to capacity or we would have moved to the bar to free it up). The crowd was clearly local, a lot of families coming from little league games etc. and our time visiting couldn’t have been better. We were never made to feel like we should leave, in fact, our server knew we were catching up and she genuinely encouraged us to stay as long as we wanted; she was so wonderful and sweet the entire time we were there. It’s been many years since I’ve been in a public establishment and made to feel so welcome (from the person greeting us at the door to the server), it just isn’t a part of today’s business model unfortunately). If a super chill, friendly, relaxed, casual atmosphere is your priority and food is secondary, I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. I will return again for these reasons.

First visit to Grille on Main. Here's how it went....

Pros: super friendly staff, good drinks. The salmon was tasty. Parking was easy, it's wheelchair accessible and family friendly. Really the best part was the staff.

Cons: no flavor. calamari was springy and hard to chew the batter didn't stay on them.
The mozzarella sticks served on a bed of lettuce and had no flavor tasted as though they were from frozen.
mashed potatoes were also quite bland.
None of the food was terrible but it all
definitely lacked flavor.

Overall the best part of this experience was the friendly atmosphere. ( props to the staff they were genuinely great)
The food definitely needs some work.

Absolutely outstanding meal I love coming here for the drinks and burgers. Nothing but great people and crowds.

We ordered take out tonight. My handicap significant other went to pick it up. There were motorcycles parked in the two handicap spaces. He parked across the back of them, hung his placard and went in. He mentioned that he'd be going to the police station to ask them to issue fines and by the time he turned around in the back parking area, they were no longer parked there. Who does that?! His food was good however my salad was less than mediocre. There was wilted brown salad and a medium dark hair in in (see photo).
We've been there a few times at the bar and always felt like if you're not a regular, the service is horrible. Non engaging at all. But, if you're a regular, you're welcomed with open arms and conversation. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Food was extraordinary and was located in a very cool spot, loved it!

Add: I was very nicely offered a refund but did not go back for one. Every other dish I've tried has been very very good. It was a genuinely nice offer, indicative of their service, but entirely unnecessary. I do hope ppl will concentrate on all the positive mentioned here bc it is definitely one of the best options in the blackstone valley.

I've tried a few different dishes here, the steak tips (to die for), the grilled chicken Caesar wrap (my favorite), a meatball sandwich, chicken parm, etc, and they have all been AMAZING! The service is always great too, they are nice and quick. Why only 4 stars? Today I decided to try a cheese pizza. When ordering I was explained that it was really a personal flatbread and that was exactly what I was looking for. First, when I picked up I was charged 18.99. The menu I looked at was a lunch menu that said it was like 10, but I wasn't even thinking about the fact that it was a weekend and probably didn't apply, so my fault, but I definitely would've got something else. Than I get to the car and open the container. Take a look for yourself. It looks sooo unappetizing and trust me, it is. So disappointing... I will 100% be back (for the grilled chix caesar wrap that im kicking myself right now for not getting), but word to the wise, don't ever order the pizza! I threw it out. Such a waste and I'm starving.

Absolutely the worst nachos I have ever had. Ice cold, the only remnant of cheese is dried up, baked on the chips. Hardly any toppings except the jalapeño. Cold dry flavorless yuck

If I could give more than 5 Then there is the would. Wonderful homey atmosphere, great service, attentive, and with a smile. Then there is the food! We ordered chicken parm sandwich, which hubby exclaimed about. I had the short ribs with demi glaze and mash. Ribs were fell apart. Meat just melted onto my fork and the mash. What looked like ordinary lumpy mash with skins was a creamy delight! Best short rib dinner to date! They also have a wonderful selection of drinks. I had the Spiked lemonade which was not too sweet nor acidic. Just smooth and cooling. We loved this restaurant and cannot wait to return!

Great food. But as locals have more to drink he gets louder. Enjoy during daytime for sure.
