Four friends meeting up for a late weekend breakfast. This is a small, cozy, warm space decorated with authentic vintage country-themed items and signage. The menu is extensive. Prices are modest to moderate. Note that there is a $1.95 upcharge if you want a tiny container of pure maple syrup. I asked the waitress what the default syrup was and she said "Something with a lot of additives," which wasn't encouraging - but this one thing was also at odds with the freshness...
Out for a Friday after Christmas drive and we came across the Picket Fence for breakfast. I am in love with this place! The building is quaint both inside and out. It has such a welcoming feel. The servers were friendly and attentive and the food was yummy! Although we live about 30 minutes away, we will definitely be coming back! 👍👍
A person I work with lives nearby and recommended the place to me. I'm a breakfast person and eat out every weekend. The atmosphere was very comfortable, wait staff friendly. You can tell most of the customers were local and welcomed me. I will return to try out the other options. The dish I had was eggs, home fries with onions, wheat toast, and corndbeef hash. The next time I get onions, I'll ask for grilled onions. They didn't seem grilled. Good, but not how...
