My wife and I dined at Bluefish River Tavern for the first time last night. We sat at the bar and met another couple that was also there for the first time. They were just finishing when we arrived and they said they loved their meal as well as the wait staff. We had the scallops and short ribs and both were excellent! The bar staff were great and very friendly and attentive. We look forward to our next trip to Bluefish River Tavern - very soon!

Food is awesome! Waitress is awesome! The Hostess needs training. Had reservations for 4 and was told to wait over 30 minutes with 3 tables open for 4 because she wanted to seat us in a booth. Never seen anything like it. We had to have an argument with her in order to be put at one of 3 open tables for 4.I hope that gets fixed because the food and service is very good.Parking: Parking is ok with valet.

Excellent place for a bite to eat. The food was delicious, portions were very generous, the service was wonderful, and the presentation was lovely. I will certainly be coming back soon.
The calamari appetizer was light and flavorful, highly recommend it. I had the Brazilian Fish Stew which was amazing and probably the best I have had in years. Every piece of seafood was cooked perfectly and the broth was tasteful. My wife had the Fish and Chips. Served English style and was just as good. Are server was outstanding and consistent with a smile and very attentive The decor was neighborhood feeling and welcoming.

very noisy, poor service, mediocre food, and overpriced. looks beautiful inside and excellent renovations but the entire experience was disappointing. tried multiple times hoping it was isolated but have had several bad experiences at lunch and dinner time. won't go back anymore.

My youngest Sister, her husband and his Mom came over from Conn. for just a day visit . I wanted to go to a pizza place, but they had firmly decided on the Tavern. $$$$$$$ Bring your money. Very expensive . My appetiterzer was a Ceaser Salad $25- My dinner, Fried chicken, $45-. We lucked out. Got there a bit after 5 pm Service was unbeliverable. The waitress poured us glasses of water. I asked for lemon. Within less than a minute I had the lemon. At one point, the restaurant was full.

What a find the Bluefish River Tavern is! Wow is all I can say. While visiting the shore for the day we decided to stop here to eat and are so glad we did. Every dish was incredibly well made and tasted delicious! The risotto that came with the scallops was simply amazing. I can highly recommend this place and will be sure to return.

This restaurant was well worth the wait. So much brighter w/ a great vibe. A complete makeover w/ friendly staff that make you feel right at home. Aside from the regular menu there were also a few specials on the menu. Began with/ the onion soup which was a very good choice made by the server. My wife and I had the swordfish w/ mashed and asparagus and it was a grand slam. Great flavor w/ a sauce that was over the top. Would do this every time I came as it was that good. Service was excellent and our server Karen could not do enough to ensure everything was great w/ out be obtrusive. If you have an opportunity, meet Keith the manager. Great personality who checked to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. If you are in the Duxbury area, do yourself a favor and try this new addition to the community. It is going to be around for quite awhile.
