“Our server was very nice, but they don’t tell you there’s a 10% “admin fee” for the kitchen workers share of tip? not sure why you don’t just pay your workers more, but that’s besides the point. The view is fantastic, but the pricing for the quality of the food here is interesting... Roughly $60 for what is essentially just a subpar Alaskan Roll and 8 (sandy) oysters. Expected better from the high ratings, but it might be outdated. Probably won’t be coming back.”
“SoBol is just what Duxbury needs! The ingredients are extremely fresh, each item is made to order with special attention to allergies & preferences, and the environment is welcoming and polished. The owner, Dawn, is beyond accommodating & kind, and the employees are super attentive. I would highly recommend SoBol to anyone visiting town, and Duxbury residents should make this a daily stop.Dietary restrictions: They take special care of those with any and all restrictions. I’ve even seen them remake a bowl because a customer forgot to mention an allergy while ordering. Superb customer service.Kid-friendliness: Kids are most definitely welcome and are regulars, too!”
“Food is awesome! Waitress is awesome! The Hostess needs training. Had reservations for 4 and was told to wait over 30 minutes with 3 tables open for 4 because she wanted to seat us in a booth. Never seen anything like it. We had to have an argument with her in order to be put at one of 3 open tables for 4.I hope that gets fixed because the food and service is very good.Parking: Parking is ok with valet.”
“The pastries are to die for and the service is impeccable. Completely friendly with excellent recommendations and asking about my taste before just telling me what they enjoy.”
“Great coffee, tasty food/snacks, great atmosphere, friendly owner and staff . I Always finding little hidden gems like this when traveling threw small towns (at any time of year)”
“Get the OMG Chicken, you won't be disappointed!!!! So many great and healthy meals to go here. Sue has fed my family on many occasions, lol! Great service as well. Highly recommend!”
“I stopped on the way from the beach to grab a sandwhich. I was blown away. Best sandwhich I have had in a long time! Cold cuts were fresh and bread was delicious. I will be stopping each time we go the beach. So good!”
“I literally eat here at least 3-4 times a week, as my gift shop, Oropa, is next door. The owners and staff are wonderful and the food is delicious!!! The Hungarian Mushroom Soup is my favorite along with the Turkey Gobbler and Maestro. They also have a great selection of prepared foods which I often buy for dinner! Highly recommend. 10/10!”
“Food is always good. Chicken salad sub is my favorite. Tried the soup for the first time after going here since I was a kid. Was pumpkin soup and it was AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend! Just be aware they close mid afternoon.”
“Bongis is the Best!!! Not only is the food great but the people who work there are amazing.I went in yesterday with the plan to get the standard turkey sandwich and some potatoe wedges.. but the women who help me was so excited she suggested I try the new Turkey Meatball sub.. she promised I would love it.She was right, it was soooo good, i highly recommend it.”
“Our server, Casey, was amazing. She was attentive and always had a smile on her face. This was our first time at the Sun Tavern and we will definitely return. The food was delicious.”
“Had the baked haddock with brown rice and sauted spinach. My date had same with green beans and mashed potates. She is very happy. Service is very friendly.. CHECK THEM OUT!”
“I stopped in The Anchor last night for the Buffalo Shrimp, and it's one of the best fried shrimp I've had! I couldn't decide between the chicken gumbo or their frickles, Samantha was definitely a huge help with this, I ended up getting the Frickles and they didn't disappoint.”
“This restaurant is amazing I tried this for the first time and man was it good I definitely recommend the loaded clam chowder AMAZING ? I live 2hrs away I would take the ride just for the clam chowder and being right off the beach was ”
“I gotta tell you, I can't vouch for their cocktails or beer selection yet, but I got some pics of the swanky marble and stainless steel taps and the booze assortment. I did try their clam chowder, and let me tell you, I went back for seconds a week later! It's gotta be the best chowder on the South Shore, no doubt! It's got more flavor and body than the usual Plymouth-area waterfront spots. And those fish tacos are seriously yummy. I scarfed mine down so fast, I forgot to snap a pic! The staff is super cool and passionate about what they do. The place itself has a chill vibe with smooth jazz, veined marble, corrugated metal, distressed wood, and cozy leather. It's a bummer I won't have a regular excuse to go back to this part of Duxbury now that winter sports clinics are winding down!”
