“I stopped in The Anchor last night for the Buffalo Shrimp, and it's one of the best fried shrimp I've had! I couldn't decide between the chicken gumbo or their frickles, Samantha was definitely a huge help with this, I ended up getting the Frickles and they didn't disappoint.“
“Had an outstanding meal here back in November - our family live locally and insisted we visit, and I’m so glad they did! Everything from the oyster menu was super fresh and a great way to appreciate the variations between different varieties. Service was friendly, cocktails were delicious, and the Windsor Fries (cooked in tallow and served with a delicious garlic mayo) are genuinely the best fries I have ever eaten. “Excellent food and drinks!! The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. The Lumber Jack cocktail was so good and also ordered the Beef Bourguignon which was delicious. The only con I would say is the service could be a bit more welcoming. Other than that I really enjoyed their cocktails and the food felt of high quality. Will be back :-)“

“I was excited to see they've changed their menu as I was tired of the same old offerings year after year. The two salads we ordered were fresh and delicious. The Caesar was huge, chopped and very garlicky and came with a Parmesan crisp. The second salad was endive, blue cheese, candied walnuts and was large. Dressing on this salad was just ok but salad was nice and fresh. The salmon entree was perfectly cooked and had delicious green beans and sticky rice as sides. The pesto and ricotta baked pasta was absolutely terrible. The pesto wasn't basil pesto but I think was tasteless spinach pesto (I asked the waiter and he had no idea what type of pesto it was). There was barely any ricotta in it and it was dry as a bone. The meatballs that came on the side were good but an odd choice as an accompaniment to the baked pasta (they were in red sauce and pasta was green). They need to get this pasta dish swapped out with another type of pasta entree that isn't over cooked and dry and flavorless. Cocktails are interesting and unusual. Ambiance and service both top notch. We'll be back, I just will order better next time and skip the pasta.“

“A neat little place. The chicken parm was overcooked, but it was mostly good otherwise and the dessert certainly made up for that. The dining room was nicely decorated, but noisy despite the average sized crowd. Something unique about this place is the open kitchen window where you can see your food prepared. I am sure I will be back, but I think I will try another entrée.Parking: The restaurant is free standing next to a shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking to be found.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, and most of the tables had chairs that could be easily moved to accomodate a wheelchair.“

Ooo and there backlava I have to say it was the best food I've ever had everything was fresh and real chicken not frozen. “Everything about this place is good: food, service, cocktails, prices, atmosphere. They basically hit on all cylinders just about every time. Everything the chef touches (possibly even looks at) is amazing. I’ve never had anything there that I didn’t like, and that includes things that I don’t like (not a fish fan, but he found a way to make me appreciate it). There are only so many compliments I can give before a review becomes unabashed, gushing adoration, so I will simply say: Try it.“
“Loved the BBQ flatbread. It was so delicious, even better than the fish tacos I got. The one thing I didn’t like about the fish was the sauce and the hard tortilla. It didn’t make for a great fish taco and I typically love those. This was our first time here for most of us. The service was immaculate. Seated right away and the waitress was very attentive and patient. We had a lot of kids with us since it was school vacation we decided to indulge in this experience. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and the food. Next time maybe we’ll make a different food choice.“
“3V always seems to be busy, but I feel like there may not be enough staff to keep up. Servers are very nice, just slow.That said the food was great - mussels and chicken cordon Bleu sandwich with crispy fries.Love the industrial feel of the bar area I 'd come back in the warmer weather to check out the patio.“

“Just moved to Marshfield and wanted lunch after the closing so we found our way to Station Eight. Food was delicious and the service was great! We sat at a table but saw the "most comfortable bar stools on the South Shore" sign and they do look comfortable. We all were satisfied with our meals: 2 burgers, chicken sandwich, and a salad with shrimp. It looks like they have live music too so we'll definitely return.“
“We were a party of four. Although the drink order was very slow in coming, the complimentary bread & olive oil kept us entertained for half that time. The Grilled Romaine Heart Salad was easily big enough for two and came with a great chipotle corn dressing. It was a big hit. The green salad was also large but the dressing was pretty pedestrian and it came with only 1 fried goat cheese round. It was just an average green salad. The salmon with ginger glaze & rice was well prepared but I found the glaze a bit too sweet. The salad that the snapper came on was a big hit, as were the ribs & burger. The lemon blueberry tart was large enough for all 4 of us to share.“
“All around AMAZING. The service was great our server made sure our food was cooked to perfection and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Extremely good atmosphere for a 5pm dinner on a Thursday night. Now the food.! The calamari was Perfectly flash fried with just the right amount of crunch along with the cherry peppers giving it the right amount of spice layed on a bed of marinara sauce, was AMAZING. I ended up getting the braised short rib. It was succulent down to the very last bite. Tender, juicy, and just a hearty meal all around. Braised rib on a bed of mash potatoes and broccolini was the perfect meal and could have never chosen a better establishment to dine at. This was my first time and certainly not my last.! “We went to Sun Tavern, three weeks before Christmas with a bunch of old friends , hoping for some Christmas ambience and a great dinner with drinks in this old world historic Tavern. Unfortunately, our hopes were dashed as the Christmas decor and ambience was scant to non-existent, at best. Was the food good? Yes . Were the drinks. nice? Yes. Was the waitress, fun and attentive? Yes. Will we go back there next year for our annual Christmas cheer get-together to celebrate the beginning of the holidays in a fun & festive atmosphere? Probably not.“
