Nothing beats a good ole fashioned ice cream truck, at the beach, in the summer.

It was a great treat after spending an afternoon at Duxbury State Park although it was very hot and the ice cream was melting quickly. I was very intrigued to try the Danish Sweet Cream and it was refreshing and the other ice cream flavors we tried were also quite good.

Farfar’s is my favorite ice cream shop anywhere. The ice cream is so creamy and delicious. And they have wonderful flavors like chunky pumpkin., salted caramel, negative chocolate. It takes us about 30 minutes to drive there but it is worth it.

Perfect treat while at the beach!

A short drive from the lovely town beach in Cohasset is a small unassuming treasure in Farfar's Danish Ice Cream Shop. It is worth the trip in every way. A charming small town feel with a friendly staff, serve up some of the best ice cream I have ever eaten. At 66 years old, that is quite an accomplishment. I cannot compliment them enough and they cater to all tastes in their offerings. I will happily go back for more!

This place is charming, with a great takeout window setup during COVID (but no outdoor seating open as of early October 2020). I had the Danish sweet cream, and it is the perfect creamy consistency- not ice OR gummy. The salted caramel sauce was amazing. The flavor selection was pretty standard for a New England ice cream spot. My son enjoyed the Candy Corn flavor, and my lactose intolerant daughter liked the strong flavor of the almond milk based Coffee Oreo. Excellent friendly service!!
