Not sure what's worse...how bad the burger was, or that it took them an hour to make it on a Tuesday night. Two thumbs down.

This place is wicked small but has an awesome smash burger that is delicious! Kid friendly and has good drinks as well!

We used to love this place and food was always great, not so much anymore. Last two times we’ve gone it’s just not good. Service is wonderful, appetizers are great but meals not so much. They changed the fries, and sadly they just aren’t as good and OMG don’t get the baked cod-it was awful. I tried to ignore the smell of fish, I really did, but in the end I just couldn’t eat it. Daughter’s grilled cheese was fabulous though and service is always so very nice. It was previously a great place to get a good lunch or dinner, sadly we’ll have to find another place.

Got the baked cod and chips. Very low portions, no seasoning, didnt come with lemon or tarter sauce. Fries were not good. Ive had their burger before though and it was decent. Wouldnt recommend though for fish, snug harbor is better

I stopped in The Anchor last night for the Buffalo Shrimp, and it's one of the best fried shrimp I've had! I couldn't decide between the chicken gumbo or their frickles, Samantha was definitely a huge help with this, I ended up getting the Frickles and they didn't disappoint.

I had a group visiting the Duxbury area, and called in advance of their arrival. The General Manager helped me. When I asked if he would be able to accommodate a group order order 15 minutes before the restaurant opened, he happily said he would do it. He gave me his phone number and the name of another person at the restaurant who could help me if he was not in the building. He appeared eager to help. When I called the restaurant the day the order was needed, no one answered. Voice messages were left, requesting a call back to place an order. No one ever called back. In the end, the group I had waiting for food had to find and go to another restaurant....a huge inconvenience, and very disappointing outcome after spending so much time to plan the meal at The Anchor. In short, while the food looks original and inviting, I would not recommend trying to order any food from this restaurant as a call in order or to be delivered.

Just one of the greasiest burritos I’ve ever had. It was basically inedible. This place used to be ok for a quick bite if you need last minute take out close to home but won’t be returning after this.

It was busy and loud when we originally got there. It did quiet down once we were sat. We both went to order drinks only to find out they were out of both of the drinks we were going to order. When we ordered food the meal I was going to order was also out so that was a bummer. Maybe a heads up at the beginning to let us know what you're out of might be nice.
