This is our family’s favorite restaurant! We recently moved out of state and can’t wait to visit next time we’re in Mass. It is such a hidden gem, and there are truly no words to describe how delicious everything is! Bono is our first recommendation to anyone visiting or new to the Boston area, and was always our top choice for everything from birthday dinners, graduation celebration, or stopping through for a quick breakfast or dinner. The staff is always friendly, food is outstanding- full of flavor, and desserts are unreal. 100/10!

We order from Bono on a regular basis, the food is absolutely delicious and is a staple in our house. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner recently and he is lovely. Nice place all around!

Great little Latin American spot!
🌮 Food: The empanadas & pupusas were so flavorful & crunchy. The sauce complimented them so well too! The tres leches is not like typical tres leches though, it was much more like a traditional cake rather than moist and soft.
💲Cost: Affordable. $3 empanadas, $4 pupusas, $3 rice/beans, $10-15 for meal (entree with rice/beans)
🪴Indoor/Outdoor: indoor
🚻 Service: quick and efficient! It was not very busy when we went (Sunday around 4 or 5pm) but staff was super friendly and helpful!
🚘 Parking: street parking

❓Recommend: yes! We would come back here again. We even took some empanadas and tacos back home because we loved them so much!
Great spot! My buddy Danny the one who’s cool with the owner! Introduced me and he treated me very well and the food was great and amazing. Keep it up WOW AND I LIKE THE RECOMMENDATION!
Great food, great drinks, and great folks :)
Tucked away on the western edge of East Boston is a lovely little restaurant covered in flowers, but design isn’t their only talent.
We started off with agua de tamarindo and agua de jamaica. Both were very sweet and packed with flavor.
First dish is Bandeja Paisa. Everything on there was great, the chicharrones were cooked perfectly, the arepa was buttery and savory, and the chorizo was amazing. I would’ve liked to see plantains on there - but it was more than enough food.
Second dish was quesabirria, it was a perfect mix of cheese and birria and was delicious, especially dipped in the birria consommé.
Safe to say I will be back here soon.
This place is a gem and such a big part of the East Boston community. The food is so good- the birria tacos, breakfast sandwich, soups are favorites.
We also ordered a big cake for a party from here and it was impeccably decorated and so moist and delicious.
Go here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a cocktail!
Everything was so nice, warm and inviting staff, excellent food, and a Michelada to die for! More people should search this place out! Beautiful margaritas, oh, and the desserts!! Yum!

The drinks are delicious and beautifully crafted, the service is top-notch, and the food… simply amazing! Every dish is full of flavor and made with love. Highly recommended—100% worth it!

Bono is the best welcoming place ever. Fernando the owner is one of the coolest guy I met. Their new breakfast menu is bomb, Pedro the chef cooks really good food. Claudia the waitress is awesome, she always treats me very well. I fully support this business!
I used to be one of the biggest fans of Bono, telling all of my friends about this great restaurant in my neighborhood. I can show you my Toast history, I would order from Bono twice a week on average.
But 2 weeks ago, I had a horrible experience and I think Bono has lost my business and I would not be telling anyone to go to this place. I came around 530pm, noticed the 50% off on appetizers, confirmed with 2 different workers (a waitress, and someone who seemed to be a manager) about what items I can get the discount on. But when it came to the bill, they refused to honor the discount. The waitress, who was maybe not the most fluent in English but was at least communicating with us during the order process, acted like she spoke no English when we were trying to ask her about the bill. She finally called the manager and they produced some different menu saying you did not order from this which is where you get the discount, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD CHECKED WITH HIM EARLIER ABOUT THE SPECIFIC DISH WE ORDERED.
I was in a group of 10 people, and the discount would have changed maybe $20 in a combined bill of ~$250, a small difference that should not matter either way. But I was frankly appalled at the way they treated me and my friends, and went back on their word. As a business, I think you have failed if your customer is leaving unhappy. I will not be coming to or ordering from Bono again and the same goes for all my friends.
I hope you can get your priorities straight in the future and figure out what matters more to you, $20 on one bill or the entire future business of someone who used to spend $150 per month at Bono
