You would never know it from the outside, but this place is a literal shrine to the Beatles and museum of an astounding collection of rock-n-roll memorabilia and artifacts. They also have great food!

Anytime I drop someone off/pick up from the airport I make Roys a pit stop. The sandwhiches are all delicious, really remarkable in fact. The super Italian is very good and the tuna italian is a unique spin on an Italian. The olive oil tuna used on it is delicious. The stuffed hot peppers are out of this world. Make sure to call early if you are planning to get some as they do sell out.

While in Boston "Charlestown" visiting friends and family last month I was on a quest to find decent old school Italian style sub sandwiches before returning home to Los Angeles. I couldn't believe how difficult this was. I asked my brother in law (a born and bred, local Charlestown legend) where we could find one. He had no idea. When in doubt check out Yelp and we found Roy's Cold Cuts in East Boston. Not easy to find but we managed to find Roy's Marion St address via Google and we are happy that we did. During our 14 day stay in Boston I hit up Roy's twice. The sub sandwiches (a seemingly endless variety of them) are cravingly good and the decor inside this small shop is wall papered, floor to ceiling, with very cool retro rock n roll memorabilia. E. Boston isn't a well visited section of Boston but it's worth a visit to Roy's and is right close to the airport. The Mrs. and I bagged a couple of Roy's more pungent sub sandwiches on the way to Logan for our return flight to Los Angeles and drove people nuts while eating them in the kiosk area of the airport. HaHaHa! Love Roy's Cold Cuts! While waiting for my sandwich to be made I noticed a photo of Johnny Depp near the register at the counter. While working on the movie Black Mass , Mr. Depp was taken to Roy's by his limo-driver when he asked the driver about cool things to do in Boston. It appears that Johnny loves Roy's Cold Cuts too!

I really love this place they make the best fresh subs, I have ever eaten. This is honestly a hidden gem of East Boston. Iconic childhood memories I remember this was my 1st stop every morning before heading to school and also after school. This place is the same since I can remember and it's only getting better. Roy's cold cuts is a family owned business that survived the pandemic of 2021. Remember to stop by show some support for a small business and don't forget to leave a tip for their exceptional service. Their food is phenomenal. Must Togo places while in Boston!

Chose 1 star as you can't choose negative or zero stars. Awful....to sum it up in one word. I ordered takeout last week, simple tuna wrap and added pickles and spicy cherry peppers. Listed on the website for $6.50. When picking it up, they charged me $8.99....maybe for the add-ons?? Regardless, the wrap was soo small, it wouldn't fill a fly. Not to mention, the wrap just wasn't good. I'd estimate that 80% was mayonnaise and not too much tuna. I took one bite and threw the rest away. Overpriced, bad quality and bad customer service for not letting me know the add on prices for pickles and peppers......can't imagine it would be $2 for the tiny wrap that I got!! Won't be going there again.
