I wanted to buy swordfish and they cut it really thick sometimes I go here year round and I asked the person that was waiting on me. Why do you cut it so thick I know why because they want to sell more swordfish but it’s not what I want to order she didn’t respond. She just stood there and looked at me like where else are you going to buy swordfish tonight?

I loved the fancy lunch date with my 6yo son at the counter inside on a rainy day, thank you! This was like two weeks ago at the Eastham Loc., we had just been to Willy's World nextdoor to explore and got hooked on both. ??I didn't realize how much you (Mac's) had to offer in house to enjoy on the spot vs just being a fish/seafood market. Maybe expand your inside seating by a couple slots? BUT, I did see people eating outside w their dog under cover from the weather who all looked thrilled to have a spot.I can only recommend what I tried -6y.o. son got fish & chips, he ate until he was topped off and I finished the last of his after:I ate 98% of my fried clams order (whole bellies) that came w fries, slaw and..Plenty of access to your semi standard seafood condiments (I thought the Tabasco Sriracha was a nice bonus).IMO super fresh & clean across the board.Saw locals, saw tourists, my kid loved it and so did I. ??

We haven't been there since they expanded the items. Previously we mostly liked going. The food and counter service were adequate. Outdoor tables are nice. A favorite item was the fish reuben. But, one day, I ordered the reuben with a gluten-free roll. It took a long time to arrive, and what a disappointment. They charged $3 extra for 1 (one!) roll, and it was dry and seemed somewhat stale. There was little sauerkraut, or, as I recall, they use cole slaw, and a skimpy amount of fish. And they charged over $22! So, it was decided there are plenty of other places to go, and we haven't been back since. Altogether this branch is not nearly as good as other Mac's, in Wellfleet and Chatham.

Horrible & overpriced lunch.: for starters, the worst clam chowder I ever had...watery & bland...a bowl of slop. Then, the clam steamers impossibly lacked any flavor. And to cap it off, the fried fish tasted of ammonia. Incredibly disappointing!

I bought some fish and veg at the market. Decent quality and helpful service but while I'm happy to tip in a restaurant I really don't want to be faced with a tip option when I'm just buying something from the market.

Starting off with the positive: the lobster was steamed well, and the fries were well seasoned and crispy. The scallops (the few there were) were cooked nicely. That is unfortunately where the positive experience ended. The clam chowder was quite literally disgusting, the worst clam chowder I have ever had. Their version was a cup of milk with some diced potatoes, it was completely unseasoned and not thickened AT ALL. It was inedible. It is $35 for a scallop plate, we received 7 small to medium sized scallops. It would have been a comedically small portion had we not been so hungry. I beg that you don’t waste your money here like we did. We left still hungry after spending and exorbitant amount. Congratulations on being the worst restaurant we tried during our vacation, you earned it.

My friend and I stopped in around noon to buy some scallops and other seafood for dinner later in the day, but also wanted to grab some belly clams and a poke bowl for lunch. We were inside the market and after looking at the seafood in the case, went to the back counter to order takeout. We asked the employee behind the counter if we could order some lunch. She told us we had to go outside to the order window, which was located adjacent within 3 ft from where we were standing while talking to her. My friend said, “can’t I just tell you I want an order of whole belly clams right now, or are you telling me I have to walk back out the front of the market and walk around the side of the building to the window where we’re standing?” Note there was no one ordering food, nor was anyone outside near the order window and it was raining. She said yes, you need to go outside to tell me what you want. Wow! We thought we were in an episode of Seinfeld or Curb! So we walked outside, got in our car and went to Stop&Shop. We were going to spend close to $100 for seafood that we would cook later for dinner and a takeout lunch. Sad that common sense has evaporated right in front of us. If I was the owner, I would expect the employee to make a rational decision rather than blindly imposing their routine process. We would have said the same thing to the same person whether we were inside or outside. We still would have to come inside to buy the seafood in the case! Crazy.

Stopped in today late morning 8/29 to pick up some seafood and order something to eat. The girl working the counter rudely informed me I needed to go outside to order food. I followed instructions and went outside. When I got to the window the same girl was standing there but with her back turned to the counter and completely ignored me. I waited for some time for her to acknowledge me again but never did. Horrible customer service.

I can’t believe this— but after buying 1.5 lb fresh lobster meat ($49.99)and 2 fish Pattie’s—one crabmeat (5.99)and one gluten free ($6.99), all were just awful!! Gosh. what did they do to the Pattie’s? And I happen to really like lobster meat but this was definitely not fresh! Whether it was left out too long or too old I don’t know. $70.00 WASTED!! I’m so disappointed with Macs. I’ve dined at the one in Wellfleet and in Ptown and never had such a horrible experience!! I’ve been quite pleased with them in the past. I had to spit out the Pattie’s and we tossed the lobster. WTH? This is. Not Good!!!

Freshest, highest quality lobster I've ever eaten. It's the east coast seafood experience you need. The way they prepare the seafood allows for the natural flavors to shine.
