As a resident and business owner in town I’m shocked at the way this place has gone downhill in the last year. Tried to call in an order because the last time it took 40 mins for my food and was told they’re too busy and we have to come down and wait. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

To go order of lobster roll w fries. Best I’ve had in a while! And fat! Very light mayo on soft roll - absolute banger. Fries are thin and delicious. Staff were great. About 10 mins from order to call? Not sure bc I was distracted by the flora. Lovely surroundings.

This was my favorite place but when my lobster roll tasted different I went up and asked if they had changed anything and the owner was very rude to me. They had not changed anything and I was sick for two days after I ate it.

It is a very nice restaurant, it’s very local so if you want to have something nice and local by the side of the road I think you should get it to try

Hands down BEST lobster roll I have ever had. Not even a competition! I’ve been to so many places in Boston and Maine & this one is absolutely the best! My whole family agrees. It is crazy it’s just a little shack by a grocery store, but those are sometimes the best finds. Can’t wait to visit again when I’m in town, it is incredible!

Stopped by Captain Jack’s Roadside Shack and tried the fish & chips along with a lobster roll. Both were hearty and filling, but the real standout for us was the onion rings which was perfectly crispy, golden, and honestly the best bite of the meal. A great casual spot if you’re in the area!

Lots of lobster on the roll, but it was tepid temperature which detracted & it needed some old bay seasoning. Full belly clams had no dipping sauce but ketsup (yuk). The onion rings were fabulous...but enough for 3-4 people. We spent $100 for 2 people so expected top quality. Not bad, but probably won't return.
