You would think when one runs a business they would welcome their customers and treat them with respect. Owners are very rude. I felt like I was bothering the owners when I went to the counter and asked for help since our waitress was MIA. Will never be back! We tried this place twice and nothing has changed.

We love this place. Last night we went for Valentine's Day and it was spectacular. The calamari was fresh and well seasoned, the warm homemade bread is AMAZING! I got the chicken piccata and my husband got the chicken parm. The portions are enormous and super fresh and so so tasty. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the staff , even though spectacularly busy, was attentive and helping each other out with tables. For the quality and quantity of food the prices can't be beat. The ONLY downside was the chill from sitting by the window, it was pretty chilly, but that didn't ruin anything for us!

Another excellent experience at Abbondanza! The waiters make you feel right at home and take great care of their customers. The food is authentic and homestyle Italian cuisine, taste like Italy. My favorite is the eggplant rollatini appetizer and of course the infamous chicken parm. I love this place, it is my favorite hidden gem.

The bread comes out hot from the oven. Crispy crust and hot moist doughy center. Best bread! Mussels with champagne sauce: I've heard of mussels with white wine sauce but never with champagne sauce. The mussels were big and juicy. The fusilli is homemade. Definitely get that. I had mine with bolognese sauce. The pasta was cooked to perfection. My brother-in-law finished his whole plate of seafood scampi. Nothing was left. Portions are pretty good. The rest of us couldn't finish our meal. Veal Parmesan. Veal had a bite to it. The meat was pounded thin. The sauce is delicious. Our server, Julia, is a doll. Very hard working. She was seating people, taking orders, answering phones, bringing our food over--all with a smile. It's hard to find good people that work like her. She's a keeper. I had mentioned that I loved the bread. I got extra bread when I had my food packed. I was so happy! We will definitely be back. It's worth the drive. And we found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant.

First time there because of a conference nearby. Food was really good. Seafood was so fresh, everything was cooked to perfection, including the calamari. The bread they serve is one of the best I've eaten in a restaurant. Julia waited on us so attentive and with great care. The place felt upscale enough and the best prices.

I wished I had maybe ordered a more costly dish, sadly , for my Steak and cheese calzone was 90percent dough 10 percent Steak and cheese unfortunately so I basically had few bites and threw the rest of the order out, now onto the Chicken Minestrone Soup, even though food was nice and warm the Chicken is actually chicken Crumbles??? I have never eaten or even seen this type of Chicken minestrone nor will I ever order from this restaurant again, however if you do there seems to be other food choices which may offer more in value and actual ingredients, No thank you.

I ordered their pan-fried veal milanese. The waitress assured me that they do in deed pan- fry it. Evidently, the cook can care less, so he just deep fried it because it was easy. Its a completely different dish. AWFUL. I’m sure the owners want it pan-fried, that’s why they have it written on the menu. Cook should be fired.

Abbondanza is spot on! Just moved to the neighborhood and found this Italian gem. The food is delicious and fresh, service was so friendly. Location is convenient and easy to get to without having to head into the city. Love the weekend specials... Chilean Sea bass with spinach risotto was EXCELLENT. Excited to make Abbondanza a weekly treat...

If we could chose ZERO stars we would. My family made reservations for a dinner on Saturday the 17th. My dad and brother-in- law got seriously ill. My dad is hoping to be released from the hospital today after an 11 day stay being treated for a enterococcus bacteria infection . He has been on an IV receiving antibiotics. My brother-in-law seems to be making recovery as well, although he wasn't in the hospital he was very sick and is currently still on antibiotics for an EColi bacteria infection. Please please please chose your dining locations cautiously.

We ate here before leaving Boston, stayed near the airport and a hotel worker said something about it. SKIP North End Boston and Go Here! Half the price, WAY better food, great neighborhood experience. Small town, authentic Italian. I can't remember our waitress name but she was awesome. No nonsense, locals place lady! We had homemade Fuscilli pasta and Gnochi. Huge servings, amazing food, great experience.
