Best drinks and service around town
Great neighborhood hangout. Always great smiles and fun conversations. I love this place!!!
I live out of state and today my friends and I celebrated our friends victory. We decided to go out for some drinks and ended up at this bar. We walked in a little before 12 and were excited to talk with friends and just enjoy our night. The woman bartender came up to the table and asked for IDs, there were no issues there and we proceeded to order our drinks. I am very shy and anxious as a person. I’m only 22 years old, and I don’t go out often, but when I do I usually go to places that have a menu for drinks. I never know what to order, so my best-friends’s boyfriend said my order for me and the woman did NOT like that. She immediately said “she can order it herself”. At this point I was uncomfortable. I felt like I had to explain myself on why I let him order my drink. I truly just am not familiar with drinks. She ended up putting our drinks through and we got them. A little while after that, our friends showed up and we told them what happened because we were shocked with what the woman said. After a while, she comes back over and asks the 3 of them for their IDs (they’re all 24 but have no problem being asked for their IDs.) She starts rubbing the girls ID and audibly says ”hmm” as she’s shaking her head no and asks for the 2 guys IDs and stacks them all together instead of handing them back individually. She ends up saying that she can’t serve them and that “they know why” she can’t. We were confused, she seemed like she didn’t believe their IDs were real and they asked if they could be scanned. She said “we don’t have a scanner and I don’t need one, would you still say there real if I called the cops.” They said yes these are our real IDs. She then proceeds to change to say “I heard your conversation earlier, you all need to leave, you guys can cash out and go”. Everyone was so confused and started getting angry, but all I could do at that point was chug my drink and walk out because she asked all of us to leave and we were told to never come back. I have never in my life experienced such a horrible interaction at a bar.
So much fun
Grate place to have fun
A great town bar good drinks fair prices. Don't come looking to eat.
Nice spot, good local vibes.
Met my husband here over a decade ago. Fun place to grab a drink and play a round of pool. Sometimes has a local band but is always playing Jaws in the background.
Good prices for drunks, good ambiance. A classic dive. And you can bring your dog in! Grab some pizza from Mike’s and have a drink at the Bitter
Clean, strictly a drinking bar. Loved the barmaid , she can make a mean martini!!

Nothing bitter about this place. Friendly clean fun neighborhood bar. Love this place and have for years
Love it. Jaws playing on repeat, catch the game while holding a conversation. Guiness is still a perfect 4 min pour. Now accepting cards. Photo-worth decor. Date night fave - drama free. Now had additional seating
This was my first time coming to Bitter End as I've always heard great things. The bartender was great and drinks were good. I came with a group of friends. We ordered a couple of drinks and before we were leaving I decided to use the rest room with my cousin. As we were walking in a "patron" who also stated that she also worked at the bar stopped us from coming in and told us we werent allowed to go into the bathroom together. She was incredibly rude and refused to let us in. She wasnt on the clock. I don't even know if she actually worked there but her internalized homophobia left a bitter taste in my mouth. As my group and I decided to leave she cheered and waved. If this is the type of people that this bar employees I refuse to spend my money here. I will be sharing this info with my family and friends in the greater Fairhaven area. I will no longer be returning

Great little bar with a mellow vibe and sociable patrons. Bartenders are friendly and attentive; especially Pam on Friday nights.
