My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Saffron by the Sea! This is our 2nd time dining here. The first time was for dinner and this time we went for lunch. We have found that sometimes when you go to a restaurant for dinner and then for lunch. The quality of the food changes. This was not the case here. Our server (Alphonso), was very friendly and helpful with the menu. He was able to recommend excellent options, based on our likings. We loved the food for dinner, based on their suggestions. So, we took a chance on their completely different recommendations for lunch. We have to say that we were so pleased with all of their recommendations! We are looking forward to the next time! Can’t wait to see what they recommend next! This was definitely a 5 star experience! We highly recommend you try it out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the best service, very detailed for our 1st time with Indian food. The meals were so beautiful & everything made fresh for each order. The desserts were delicious, beautiful, & great prices. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try Indian food or if you love Indian food this will be a must to go eat.

My husband and I came here for our first experience with Indian food. We're already planning our next visit. Alfonso was our server and it felt like if we looked up from the table, he would stop to see what we needed. It's been a long time since I've been as happy with service as I was with the food. Alfonso had great recommendations that we both loved. When we were leaving 3 staff members in a row told us to have a good night. I can't express enough how satisfied we were with the food and service we experienced tonight. We will absolutely be coming back to Safron by the Sea.

The food here is amazing – flavorful, perfectly spiced, and great portions. The service is outstanding, and the staff went above and beyond. It’s wonderful to have authentic Indian food in Fairhaven. Highly recommend!

My fiancé and I went here for dinner as I was craving Indian cuisine. We started with some garlic naan and coffee marinated lamb chops (my favorite part of the meal) which were delicious. For drinks we got a mango lassi and a marsala chai tea to start.

For entrees I had the goat royal biryani which had a mild spice that slowly intensifies, so I was satisfied since I enjoy spicy food. I also got a side of the cheesy jalapeño naan which was tasty. My fiancé had the lamb gyro with fries (it’s not a traditional Indian dish, I’m aware so it was served with chopped lamb chunks instead of the Greek style). I have to say that the portions of the entrees were a descent size.

This place has a bar in the middle and can accommodate groups, I would say that the majority of the customers I saw could be categorized as ‘hipster’. They also have a bakery on the side with desserts on display for takeaway.

For full disclosure, I would have to say that the one portion of the night that really made me have to reduce this rating is that when the server gave us spoons for our dessert (gulab jamun) the cutlery was still dirty. He looked at it, acknowledged they weren’t clean and still handed them to us anyway. However, I will acknowledge that they didn’t charge us for an item they mistakenly sent us to our table.

Hidden Gem, with a fantastic team of people that are attentive to guests. Their Biryani and Korma was awesome, the micro cilantro garnishes completed the experience. The pastries were delicious and delicate.

Ate too much and had a few dishes to try.

Highly recommend giving them a shot.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in our community, and definitely THE place to go to try something new. The menu has something for everyone, with a variety of spice/heat levels to suit your palette. Every meal has been out of this world. The bakery is amazing - we celebrated with a mango cake that was heavenly! The cocktails and mocktails are utterly divine! Dining at the bar with Nike bartending will not disappoint. You’ll have his exemplary service - AND you will see just how much artistry there is to mixology! Saffron by the Sea is a treasure for the Southcoast.
