My wife's mom and dad's families immigrated from the Azores. So, we had to eat at a Portuguese restaurant in Fall River. I was disappointed that they had run out of Alcatra, but we happened to dine the day before they were closing for five days over the 4th of July. Instead, I had the Portuguese steak with egg and it was excellent! All of our meals were reminders of Avo's cooking.
This is a hidden gem, great Portuguese food, apps, soups & desserts. The petite steak was definitely enough, rice, fries & good bread too!!! Prices are good and food is Excellent!
I had heard great things about Marisqueira Azores, but I was blown away. The food is EXCELLENT. The steak was perfect! The littlenecks were perfect! The desserts were perfect! Lucia the chef/owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The service was excellent. It was overall just a 10 out of 10 experience. I will be going back for sure. This is without a doubt my favorite Portuguese restaurant. I only wish I would've found this place sooner. I can't wait to...
