I was so excited to try this place. What a disappointment. The fried calamari looked like a rubber band and it was like chewing on one too, I would imagine. Batter was extremely bland. When we asked for some kind of garlic butter oil, the waiter came back with Mignonette which is a vinaigrette for raw shellfish. Calamari only needs to be in the deep fryer for 45 seconds-1min TOPS!
The waiter was also very rushy, and only had 3 other tables. He didn't introduce himself, or ask...read full review
The food was fantastic. Specifically the surf and turf and the Mozambique sauce were excellent and the portions are very generous . The owner and her daughter were very friendly and the service was great. If you’re looking for good traditional portuguese food and a great family owned restaurant - I highly recommend this place. My family and I will be back for sure. Thanks for the great food and the great service.
never been but this review is based on the human aspect they donated time and service to fire victims
will definitely check them out in the future based on their generosity

Based on the reviews, The Acores | Family Restaurant & Bar offers delicious, authentic Portuguese cuisine. The fish and chip was delicious and fresh, and the surf and turf with Mozambique sauce were excellent. The bread with the cacoila was a 10/10, and the House Steak is highly recommended. Portions are very generous and the price is great. The service is excellent, with attentive and polite staff. The restaurant itself is clean, beautiful, and elegant, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. A unique touch is the scripture in the restroom to remind you to always choose love. The only downside mentioned is that karaoke night can make the dining room music hard to enjoy. This is a great family-owned restaurant for traditional Portuguese food, definitely a little gem by the water.
