WOW! 5 stars for Quahog Republic! Who would have expected a dive bar to have such delicious food. The quahog chowder is quite possibly THE best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of seafood chowders. The stuffed quahog was also yummy. The lobster grilled cheese was fantastic, it was LOADED with lobster meat and just the right amount of cheese with perfectly toasted bread. Everything was fairly priced too considering what similar items cost in the area. So so so good. Friendly...
On my honeymoon driving up the Northeast coast from RI to Maine and stopped here 5 days ago. I can NOT stop thing thinking about the Quoahog chowder - both of us! We want to go back for more and we've been searching ever since. Hope to find some chowder as good or better. We also had the new England chowder, fish and chips, mac n cheese egg rolls, a couple of drinks, all also very good.
