Oliver's is a little hidden Gem. Great place to meet up with a few friends, It is relaxing with couches, tables & outdoor seating next to the falls. Nice little spot. Judge for yourself :)

Tried Oliver’s in Fitchburg - it did not disappoint! The food was cooked (and served) to order, was delicious, made with fresh ingredients. Five of us each got a different meal and we all enjoyed. The service was unbelievably good.
The atmosphere is very cool - a renovated brick mill; spacious and clean. We noticed on the way out that there is outdoor seating available while the weather is nice.
The only suggestion I would make is to upgrade the chairs. But that will not keep us from returning.

A very quaint breakfast/snack destination inside an old factory with a very bohemian vibe and an incredible back deck overlooking a overspill pond that reminded me of a Japanese water garden.
If you get Amanda as you counter clerk be nice; I had her on the 3rd day of her first job and she was just super.

i feel bad giving one star but the paninis my wife and i had for our lunch here today were amongst the worst food i’ve ever tried in my life. i’m sure the breakfast stuff and smoothies are good but for the abomination that was these paninis this place should not be sitting in the high 4 range.

my wife had the pesto chicken and it had very rubbery tough chicken

i had the steak and cheese and the steak was essentially little pieces of steak i’ve never seen before not shaved steak. essentially inedible

i wouldn’t exactly call
them paninis either as they were soft all the way thru.

again i feel bad but you cannot in good faith serve what they served me today.

Cycliste du Café

Rolling into an industrial corner of Fitchburg, one would never expect a café here. Yet the surprise of the waterfall, umbrellas, and tables beckons with hope. Inside, the space is industrial-chic, vast and echoing. Expectations rise as quickly as they are tempered.

For the rider, alas, little has been considered. No rack, no dedicated spot—only a lean against the wall or perhaps the fence near the riverside tables where one can keep a vigilant eye. Service, on a Sunday morning, was overwhelmed: haggard staff and depleted ingredients, though one gentleman stood out with genuine friendliness. No free water, but large bathrooms—a strange mismatch of scale and service.

The falls provide charm, but the café itself feels curiously hollow. Youth soccer players, hikers, a few passers-through… none linger. No esprit, no panache. It is a place to fuel and move on, not to commune with civilisation over espresso.

The Lavazza urn delivered a burnt brew—neither good nor bad, simply functional. Coffee as utility, not artistry.

An egg-and-bacon sandwich, bodega-simple: salty, sufficient, but without decadence. Pastries had vanished by the time of our visit, leaving only crumbs of possibility.

Oliver’s sits upon a jewel of a waterfall, yet has not translated this terroir into its spirit. For the cyclist, it is a rest stop of necessity, not desire. One leaves with calories but not with longing to return.

I was really disappointed with Oliver’s Café. I ordered a steak sandwich, but it was basically just onions and cheese with barely any steak at all and honestly one of the worst sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. To make it worse, we waited about half an hour for the food even though the place was completely empty. The only positive thing I can say is that the outside seating area is nice, with a small waterfall that gives it a peaceful vibe. Unfortunately, the food and service just don’t match the setting.

Asked the guy at counter “what’s a good sandwich?” Wasn’t in the mood for anything in particular. He made me a turkey avocado sandwich - so good! Best sandwich I’ve had in a while! Will def return. Close to where I work so will go there again!

Went for breakfast for the first time, the place is a little intimidating, it's huge and feels empty. Where the tables are it's cute, but still feels like is missing something. Outside it's gorgeous. Service was great, but slow and a little disorganized. Food was adequate, the pineapple/coconut scone was the best scone I've ever had, but the pao de queijo was cold like it was taking from the freezer before bringing it to my table, the toast was grilled not toasted and it was soft, the bread tasted good. The avocado toast was decent, but it looked like they used pre made guacamole. The coffee was no coffee at all, I ordered an oat milk iced latte, they gave me the ice, the oat milk and no or very little coffee for the color and taste. I didn't bring it back because it got busy and already took so long for them to serve us. I will go back because the outside area is so pretty and my mom loved her scone, but that's about it.

Unfortunately they don't make any of their own food there, it is all heated up in a microwave. It was really bad (frozen egg patties, etc.)

Loved this stop while dropping someone off at the train station, the outdoor patio is a gem, food was great and loved the balance of the latte with milk and coffee, lovely spot!

stopped here on our way from NH to Berkshires. Not a lot of good options in the area, so this was a real find. Super nice staff and great sandwiches. Love their overstuffed armchairs to sit in. Will def stop again on our next trip through.

Industrial atmosphere with friendly staff and decent coffee—definitely a good spot to relax or catch up with a friend. However, the prices are surprisingly steep for the area, with drinks and pastries priced like it's a Manhattan café rather than. It’s worth a visit if you don’t mind overpaying a bit for the vibe, but budget-conscious customers might want to think twice.
