Sichuan Gourmet Reviews
Can’t wait to go back again.
A complete dissapointment. Was served burned rice, when asked to have it replaced was served undercooked, mostly white and still partially burned rice (see picture of second attempt). Order #2, beef lo mein, had almost no beef. Order #3, beef brocolli (take home) rice was undercooked. All three dishes laked flavor. Been there before and the quality has deteriorated greatly.
The best Chinese place in the area, not American-Chinese with lots of batter deep fried in lots of oil. Authentic Chinese food. Spicy dishes may be really spicy, but you can always ask to make them not hot. Not the cheapest place, but reasonable price for quality. Been there many times.

Sichuan Gourmet is a highly recommended Chinese restaurant known for its authentic spicy Sichuan dishes and consistent quality. The restaurant offers a warm and lively atmosphere, making it suitable for family gatherings, meetings, birthdays, and small lunches. Located on the second floor, it is accessible via stairs or elevator, accommodating guests with different needs. The staff are kind, polite, attentive, and friendly, often engaging with customers in Mandarin, which adds to the authentic experience.
Some standout dishes include the shredded lamb, which is soft and melts in the mouth, and the Lion's Head meatball dish, featuring giant meatballs with vegetables. The menu also highlights favorites like dry chicken with chili oil, shredded chicken with Gonggua dry fish fillets, and chicken Napa cabbage—each offering rich flavors and satisfying portions. The cold noodles and spicy wontons are especially popular; the cold noodles have a spicy sauce that tastes like peanut butter mixed with spicy sauce, making them addictive, while the spicy wontons have just the right amount of texture and chewiness without cracking. These dishes are perfect for those who enjoy authentic spicy Chinese food.
Customers appreciate the fast, attentive service and reasonable prices, noting that the food is flavorful and generous in portion. Many have been dining here for over ten years, praising its consistency and quality, often bringing food home. While some dishes may be too spicy for some, Sichuan Gourmet remains a top choice for lovers of spicy, authentic Sichuan cuisine, setting high standards for Chinese restaurants in the area.
