Extremely disappointed. This restaurant was recommended by the kind staff at the doubletree hotel up the road. I am a solo traveler so I sat at the bar, the bartender Brandon was stellar. He made an excellent drink. I ordered the shumai to start, it came out very fast, but it was cool on the inside and room temp on the outside. I very nicely let Brandon know and he kindly had them remake it. It came out fast again but was not much better. Next, I the ordered a rainbow roll and a red sox roll. I made sure to ask Brandon prior to ordering about the rainbow roll since it wasn't on the menu, he said, 'no sweat, even tho it's not on the menu they make it all the time.' He also recommended the red sox roll. The rainbow roll had literal plastic wrap in it, thicker than saran wrap. Brandon kindly had them remake it but damage was done. He said they accidentally left the saran wrap on the roll when they rolled it but that doesn't make it ok or make sense. I eat sushi often and this has never happened. This unforgivable for a japanese restaurant and beyond frustrating

Food has the potential to be good here; it's well cooked. However, at the last minute, they drench everything in all this sweet sauce. Really ruins it. Been to a few different hibachi places; this is not always the case. Also, this is the loudest hibachi place we've ever been to. You can barely speak to anyone in your party. I get the festive stuff, but that gong is ringing constantly.... They could cut back on that a bit.

I have my birthday dinner here , and was so delicious and really cool too watch them make my food . Tasted great and I will go back again for my next birthday. They give u littler cake if u say its your birthday , so make sure someone in your party say its your birthday dinner so they know . I have stake , shrimp, rice veggies and I was full . Great place to go for your special day .

This place was way too hot. I don't know if the air conditioner broke down, but it was extremely hot. Everyone was dripping with sweat at the table. It was very uncomfortable. We were melting at least 20 minutes before the chef even started to cook our meals and it lasted throughout our experience there, which was more than an hour. The forks are just way too big. They don't give you enough napkins. We had to ask for a knife, when there were seven in our party and most of them ordered steak 🤷♀️!!! The waitress did the bare minimum and the food was just okay. Food is not prepared evenly, so that your eating rice without anything, then you get vegetables next, and lastly you get your meat. Meal receipt total already includes 20% tip, so beware. We still tipped our chef with cash generously for his efforts to entertain us. Actually, he was probably the best thing tonight. Also, we couldn't even get a frozen alcoholic beverage because they told us there blender was broken. Bathrooms could use some clean up and care.
Placed a takeout order this evening. 2nd time in a couple months. Sushi was very chewy & smelt very fishy. No appetizing & wouldn’t try it again!

We visited Ichigo Ichie in Franklin on a Thursday, with friends, and enjoyed it as much as the one in Montreal although the menus differ. No idea if they are related other than the name and the fact they are Japanese. :-) Sushis were appreciated and I realy enjoyed my fried wonton and chicken fried rice. Desserts were great. Recommended!
