It’s definitely a favorite of mine, the food is full of wonderful flavor, they have a nice variety of real foods. Always consistently so good over the years as well. I could recommend basically everything here, as i’d eat any of it. It’s a nice calm place too, a very peaceful environment right in the center of town.

Let me start this review by saying I almost never review the places I go, and I’m not doing this out of malice. I genuinely love this restaurant and think it brings even the smallest amount of night life to Franklin. The food is AMAZING. Genuinely top tier and if you like tempura shrimp I cannot recommend it enough. The issue comes with the service. The place was empty so we were sat instantly which is always nice, but thats when the service issues started. We waited almost 20 minutes to be seen by a server which I thought was somewhat odd as the restaurant was pretty dead but I didn’t think too much of it (it’s a pretty sizeable menu after all so I had plenty of time to look through it). We placed our order and waited…. and waited…. and waited…. When I say it took almost an hour and a half to get our pretty small order I am not kidding. During that entire wait, online orders were coming in and almost immediately being filled. It seems like they prioritize doordash over the actual restaurant. When our food finally came out, they brought only one thing we ordered out at a time. We also were not given any utensils or napkins the entire time. Once all the food actually DID come out, it was cold and we had to ASK for utensils which was pretty crazy to me. I understand that running a restaurant is tough and it can get pretty backed up, but that was kinda crazy to me and even then we never even got napkins. I don’t want to write this review to get anyone in trouble, or to bash the restaurant, or anything like that. Believe me, I understand how grueling service work is and how awful customers can be. But when it’s over an hour wait time for a dead restaurant where doordash orders take priority, service is severely lacking, and everything else, I can’t say anything else besides just to order it on doordash. The restaurant prices are insanely cheap and yes, doordash jacks up the prices, but if you go in you’ll be paying with your time. Seriously, if you have any plans after eating, cancel them. This is your plans for the night now.

9/2024: still a really great affordable sushi place. They added a lot of retail items which is great. I'm happy they brought back partial dine-in service. the hours are open until 12am some nights so that helps too when Ichigo Ichies closes early. I miss seeing the original owners but glad to see they staffed more people after the pandemic. I hope this place always stays here in that franklin plaza. 9/2019My favorite sushi place. Their food and sushi is always fresh. The sushi rice is the right texture. Perfect customer service.

Ordered online at 6:50 with a pickup time of 8pm. No time estimate before before ordering. Order delayed message came while I was in the lobby at 8pm. I was told 15 more minutes. It is currently 8:27pm and I am still waiting in the lobby.. wish me luck. (Update) Order was given to me at 8:40. Almost 2 hours after ordering 2 dinner items and an appetizer.

Forget about the food, you'll be lucky if you even get it within a reasonable time. We ordered online and expected to wait. After ordering we got an estimated wait time of an hour, it was unexpected but we waited. Then we waited an additional half hour once getting to the restaurant to pick up our food. There is a Chinese restaurant across the street with good food that never takes longer than 20mins, but we figured we would give this place a try. Never again. If I wanted to wait an hour and a half for a pickup order I would go to Boston to a nice restaurant. This was ridiculous.

Cant Share about the actual place since I ordered through doordash. But Let me tell you , Price is on point & Sushi best , fresh and delicious ! We loved the rice balls & are excited to try more of the menu.
Edit to update: Went to Maguro tonight, walked in and it was empty. Had a chance to walk and look at what was around . Rang bell and my order came out , and Let me say it again BEST ! The fried TOKYO roll best one .

This place has delicious sushi and rice balls for great prices. The wait can get pretty long at certain times for to go orders, but it's so so worth it! Highly recommend trying out all the different kinds of onigiri, very delicious!

Worst ever! Worst service, if you could even call it that. Worst attitudes, slowest staff, longest waiting, and they deny certain people (delivery driver's) use of their bathrooms. It's posted all over the place. I'm pretty sure that's illegal in this country. It's definitely immoral and barbaric behavior. Food sucks anyway. This place is purely awful. Don't go here. Ichigo Ichi is down the road near the 99 Restaurant in Franklin. You'll get far better sushi and service there. Avoid Maguro House at all costs!
