Mak’s is a great local spot service breakfast lunch and dinner at a super reasonable price. They are known for their roast beef, but for a summer style atmosphere and menu, you can’t go wrong. Their cornbread French toast is so yummy! Also Tisa, the matriarch of the ex family owned business offers catering and event hosting too!

The portions were huge! The fruit bowl alone was gigantic and full of all assorted fruits. Our server was so friendly and they gave us some clam chowder on the house which was excellent. I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to go back

I have been getting take-out from Mak's Roast Beef weekly for many years. The food has always been great and I loved getting meals there.
I don't know what changed but the last two times I ordered the food was horrible. Recently I ordered an Italian Cold Cut Sub, which is usually delicious with high quality meat, not this time. I could tell at first bite that something was wrong. The bread was burnt to a crisp and the meat was not what they usually serve. It was salty and chewy with no flavor whatsoever. The sub went into the trash.
Since their food had always been good I thought they were just having an off night. The next week I ordered Chicken Salad, which is usually creamy and full of flavor, not this time. The chicken salad consisted of large, rubbery, chunks that I could barely chew and were so salty my mouth started to burn. That went into the trash as well.
I'm so disappointed that Mak's Roast Beef is now serving low quality food. I can't keep spending money on food that goes into the trash. Sadly, I will have to start looking for a different take-out restaurant.

Roast beef was crazy good - will 100% be back. I used to dread driving from Watertown to Franklin to coach hockey, but this sandwich was reason alone to drive the hour.

Roast beef is always on point. Pizza is great too. Always an excellent choice to feed the family, close to tri-county high school too

Our go to place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Never disappointed, the staff is great, very personal from the owner to the servers.

Got the super beef three way. Was a good size and very flavorful, but it was a bit well done. No pink at all really. But being this far from the North Shore, cook this for a little less time and it's gotta be good

Called in a take out order for two items and was told over the phone 20 minutes. I got there at 20 minutes and my order wasn’t even cooked. It was not busy (2 sit down tables and one take out order waiting with me. Well it turned into 40 min wait. Very poor customer service and no urgency in the kitchen. Bit of an attitude from the kitchen when the waitstaff inquired about my order. Think twice about ordering take out there or be prepared to wait.

They somehow managed to make my chicken parm calzone with multiple chicken bones in them. Two of them were from wings and were at least two inches in size. When I called to inform the staff, the manager they put on the phone told me it was “impossible” and took no ownership for this error that could have injured or killed someone by choking. No one would expect to have chicken bones in their calzone, but that’s exactly what happened and I have pictures to prove it. They lost my trust and my business.

This rating is specific to dining with food allergies. The first time we tried it, I ordered GF chicken broccoli and ziti for my son with Celiac Disease and in the separate bag labeled GF was a piece of normal Italian bread.
We decided to try again tonight. Ordered the that meal again and another one for my daughter not gf. They were in same bag and neither labeled. They could literally not tell us which was GF and they looked exactly the same. The girl at the counter told my husband “well, you can easily taste the difference and figure it out “ She was also very was rude and argumentative to my husband. We really try to support local businesses but not at the expense of my kids health when they make a claim they get allergies and they clearly do not.

I was hesitant but I’m glad we ordered. We had our food delivered. My husband ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the white pizza. It exceeded our expectations. The pizza was not greasy! It was tasteful and so was the fish. We will definitely order again and recommend.
