Wanted to take a moment to share some images of a stunning handcrafted book created by Laura Michele Stevens, AKAThe (talented and lovely) Moonlight Chef. We commissioned this to celebrate the birth of a friend’s baby girl— and couldn’t be happier. Laura turned this around in record time, which is pretty astonishing because, as you can see, the amount of handwork here is staggering. There are so many details to be appreciated here: lace trims, appliqué flowers, charms, paper insertions and bookmarks, even a handwritten note congratulating the parents on the birth of their baby girl, a very thoughtful addition. The cover features a clipped door that opens to reveal a card with the child’s name and details regarding her birth. Laura very clearly spent a lot of time creating this special, one-of-a-kind gift, and it shows. It’s entirely made by hand and every bit of paper, trim, and decorative element was considered. Highly recommend reaching out as I firmly believe her work is beautiful and so unique. As someone who appreciates and celebrates all things handmade, I am grateful for Laura’s talents.
