My wife and I are repeat dinners at Beauport. We really enjoy this venue. When I returned home, one thing caught my attention on the itemized list showing our cocktails: 2 Codigo Reposado $32.00 Margarita $4.00 Rocks $4.00 Not a problem. $20 for a drink before dinner is reasonable. I just thought the itemized breakdown was odd. I do not recall seeing this at other restaurants we frequent. Good thing we said, “no salt.”
Lovely setting and ambiance on the deck on a sunny, though cool day. Food was well prepared and all were satisfied with their orders. Service a tad awkward....not all main dishes were served to the 3 of us at the same time; Servers were not clear on which table was to get which order; a request for fresh ground pepper never came, etc. So some improvement in service logistics is needed. Am happy to give them another chance in the future.
Having lunch at the Beaufort Inn is a wonderful experience with the beautiful view and smell of the ocean and sun. Our food was very good but the service was lacking. The waitress did not seem to enjoy her job at all and just slapped the dishes down on the table. I would have expected better from such a wonderful establishment.
