Authentic local food. Our lobster roll came with 11 ounces of fresh picked meat. It was huge!!!! And delicious!!! A great experience!

When you drive up and the line is Super long- you can choose to leave OR you can stay and have the best lunch on the water!! Our order was super quick. We sat right on the water and enjoyed the marina while we ate, but there are inside tables by the bar. It’s no longer the Gloucester House Dining- the only food is just from Blue Collar. We shared a cup Of Clam Chowder and a Haddock Fish sandwich basket. Everywhere we’ve gone up here we noticed the fish is so lightly battered- it’s so delicious!! I would highly recommend going to Gloucester (free parking in the lots on Sundays) and grabbing some lunch before boarding your 7 Seas Whale Watching tour!

We have been to Gloucester House restaurant many times. Since it was closed for season we tried adjacent Blue Collar. The menu is very limited . The food was almost tasteless and expensive. Most disturbing was the wait persons sarcastic and condescending response to another diners inquiry about fried clam strips.

The Blue Collar Lobster Co. is a very convenient choice on the Gloucester waterfront, when you want fresh seafood quickly and without the formality and time-commitment of a traditional sit-down restaurant. You order at a window from a well-weathered, matter-of-fact cashier and then wait out on a deck at nearby tables with harbor views and umbrellas for some shade. If the wind is gusting, and it often is, that's just a natural part of this tangy experience; anchor your napkins accordingly and enjoy. Your wait will not be long. The blackened haddock tacos I ordered on this occasion had a savory coating that somehow maximized the flavor of the fresh, hot, tender fish within. Portions are generous here, including the fries, which are apparently cooked with the same eye to proper texture and seasoning as the fish. I have had the specialty lobster roll in the past -- also recommended. In addition, my hungry companion found her veggie burger more than satisfactory; not a given at any seafood place, fancy or not.

We went to Gloucester thinking we might get a glance of the “Wicked Tuna” boats. (More on that later!) We were going along the harbor road (Rodgers) when we saw “Wicked Tuna”/“Hard Merchandise” Merch sold here! We pulled in thinking they had to have a restaurant! They Did! It’s an order to go place with a bar and tables too, both inside and out! Right on the water where the boats come in and go out! So we ordered! A Lobster Roll “ AND” the “Fisherman’s Platter”! The lobster roll had at least 12-14ozs of pure perfectly cooked tender and juicy freshly caught east coast lobster! Way more than my wife could eat! After having a “Lobster Roll” in Bar Harbor we were ecstatic with this one! The Fisherman’s Platter was generous portions of fried calamari, clams, scallops, a huge filet of haddock and French Fries! Way more than any one person should eat! All delicious! While we were eating just feet from Dave Marciano’s “Falcon” the Pinwheel pulled in with Tyler and Mer on deck! It was unreal! All the staff was very friendly and helpful and the bartender delightful! A “must” do in Gloucester!

Great lobster roll! The bang bang shrimp were pretty tasty as well. A true New England shoreline experience. Would go back.

we were looking for a casual outdoor spot that wasn't too expensive and this fit the bill! The portions were very generous and priced well. Fun to eat outside.

We popped in for a late lunch after having been recommended by 7 Seas Whale Watch, and the food was HOT, ready quickly, wonderfully delish, and very reasonably priced. We ordered outside and ate in the bar area which was open, airy, clean and so perfectly 'decorated'. I had the whole lobster which already had its tail split (that's awesome!) and my friend had the fried scallops; we gorged ourselves and still couldn't quite finish it all. Thank goodness for the fabulous rum punch to help me wash it all down!! I'll definitely come back when I return to Gloucester.

The Blue Collar sits right on the pier and you can watch the fishing and tour boats come and go. It has a walk-up counter where you place your order and you're given a pager to notify you when the food is ready. Unfortunately, the smell from the sewer drains in front of the counter make the wait unpleasant. For "Blue Collar", the food is expensive. More like "White Collar". The lobster roll was $40.00. Yikes! I asked how many ounces of lobster meat was in the serving and was assured that it was "a lot" to justify the price. I decided to take a risk and am glad that I did. The bun was heaping with a very generous portion of lobster meat. It was served with fries. Also, I spoke with a customer who ordered the fried whole belly clams and he was not impressed... said they were just OK. So, if you're looking for a nice outdoor spot to sit and enjoy the view, and you're crazy about lobster (and you have money), this could be the place for you.

The best lobster roll in Gloucester hands down. Comes with fries and tastes amazing. Order outside.

As part of the Gloucester House restaurant and situated on the water, this restaurant serves up lobster, salads, poke bowls, fried fish, etc. with a limited menu and high prices. We enjoyed great 60s and 70s music by the Jantelles while enjoying the food and scenery. We look forward to their September gig. There are large seating areas inside and out. There is a full bar. The restaurant is handicapped accessible and accepts major credit cards. The Cosmopolitan drink was good, but priced at $17.12 with tax. The clam chowder at $10.71 (including tax) was flavorful and contained a decent amount of stock. The Blackened Haddock for $18.00 contained 2 soft flour tortillas served with pico de gallo, chopped lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream; tasty, but extremely salty. (the price you pay for blackened, I guess.) Staff is friendly and there is plenty of people-watching to be had. Go and enjoy.

Best French onion soup I've had, hands down! Good prices, nice location, food was hot and tasty. Very clean location. Within walking distance to so many things!

Blue Collar Lobster (part of The Gloucester House) was pretty awful. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because of the options for outdoor seating. Beautiful and open view to the marina. BUT the food was truly terrible. We ordered the twin lobsters and the claws were fishy and inedible. The tails were good. But the rest we tossed in the garbage. But my husband and I were still so hungry we ordered a fish sandwich to share -- but it was flavorless and limp, with not enough bun for the amount of fish. Yuck all the way around. I even told the woman at the cash register that the lobster was fishy, and she was like, "So you didn't like it?" Um, no! Why would I like fishy lobster?

Lobstah rolls were outstanding! I got the hot roll and it was well worth the price. Lots and lots of lobster on it. Very happy with it.
