When I walked in, wasn't greeted at all. Went to the counter to look at the baked goods, nothing was marked and I had some questions and the owner couldn't be bothered to even look at me, much less answer my questions. The young girl at the counter asked her to come so she could answer my question, but nope. When we left, no acknowledgement whatsoever. I shouldn't have bought anything with the owner being so rude. If was the owner and wanted to keep customers happy, I would definitely be friendly and helpful with a smile on my face. Maybe I wasn't the right color or look rich enough 🤔 Bad service!!!!!!

Cake was over cooked and part of it was burnt under the frosting. Also service was very awkward as we were there for a pickup and when we gave out name the person at the front just walked away and sat on the laptop until someone else walked up and helped us out.

Delicious pastries, friendly staff, and, on a Friday morning in the off season, the WiFi was sufficient for silently attending a Zoom work presentation. I was so grateful that the staff invited me to stay as long as I needed since the WiFi where we are staying could not support the WFH meeting my spouse was loudly leading plus any other task requiring WiFi.

Cake Ann is truly the best bakery on the island, offering a gobsmacking array of gallettes, meat pies, cupcakes and the astonishing Kouign-Amann -- a labor-intensive Breton pastry that simply isn't attempted very often (pro-tip, go early before they vanish) as well as an expansive rotation of other sweet and savory pastries. The wedding cakes at Cake Ann are jaw dropping -- as ambitious and ornate as a bride-to-be and nervous mother desirse (you can often hear them in consult with Inga, owner and pastry-chef par excellence at one of the long tables of Cake Ann) as you sip your coffee and enjoy your treat. Myself, I prefer to sit on the outside deck on the water, taking in the embarking and disembarking of the various whale watch ships. Treat yourself by visiting Cake Ann today (just don't take the last Kouign-Amann -- it's mine!). You'll be glad you did.

For our special event, we chose a 2-tier cutting cake that was nothing short of spectacular. The peacock teal fondant with baroque-style gold detailing made it a stunning centerpiece that wowed our guests. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful, with every bite offering a burst of fresh, balanced flavors. We also had a 10" "sheet" cake for the larger event, which was equally impressive, rich, moist, and incredibly decadent.
What truly set Cake Anne apart was their personalized approach. They invited us for an in-person cake tasting, tailored to our preferences, making it a special experience. They even created a custom flavor for us and provided a video outlining design decisions, ensuring every detail was perfect. Many other places offered preset tasting boxes or had us take cake home, which didn't feel special. Cake Anne made sure the tasting was memorable and even matched the cake color to our teal swatch.
We can't thank Inga and her team enough for their hard work and dedication. If you're looking for a cake that combines beauty, flavor, and a personal touch, Cake Anne is the way to go. Highly recommended!
