Just visited the bar, not the hotel, like that in The Perfect Storm only to find it was the one in the book & not the movie. Still was a really enjoyable & fun time. Locals drinking beer & doing scratch-off tickets. Was frequented by very similar unique folks, tho. Has lots of photos & pictures of the movie crew when filming. Well worth the visit...

Came in from Cleveland, loved it! After seeing The Perfect Storm I’ve wanted to come to Gloucester and the Crows Nest. So glad I did both

The kindest place in America 🇺🇸. If you want to tap into the past while experiencing it in the present… this is it. Thank you Annie for you incredible hospitality. God Bless America, God bless the our fisherman, and God bless the Crow’s Nest.

We stayed 2 nights upstairs in the Hotel. The room was super clean and just what we needed.
2 beds. Clean towels and sheets. Mini fridge. Microwave (we didn’t use it) Comfy beds. Clean bathroom. TV
Perfect for us. We could not hear the bar from our room at all.
We could walk to Main St. We ate at The Burn (excellent) the Lebanese restaurant next door (excellent) and Destino’s (excellent) We drank at the Crows Nest and everyone was super nice.
In the rooms upstairs, you can’t control the temp in the room (they gave us a fan) and the street noise is kinda loud but we didn’t mind. Dogs were welcome :)
We look forward to returning one day!

On our Ladies Day July 8, 2025. We decided to drop in the Crows Nest for a cocktail before dinner. The bartender was great, she was also around duing the actual perfect storm in 1991, and there for the filming of the movie with George Clooney. She gave us an album and book to look tbrough. There are memoribilia pictures on the walls. Locals are very friendly, again, happy Birthday Day. Amber!! Its not fancy, its a local watering hole. We did not sleep there.

Great local dive bar made famous by the movie Perfect Storm. The stuffed clams are great. When you go ask for the book.

What a fun bar. Made you feel welcome right at the door. Met some great locals, talked about the old days when fishing was good. Yup, it's a fun bar. Oh, the movie, Perfect Storm, pictures all over the bar.
Ask to see the book.
