My husband, Michael and I sat at George's Bar tonight and were thoroughly impressed. This was our first time and won't be our last! The moment we walked into the cozy restaurant, we were warmly greeted by a staff member. I saw her seating people, running food and filling water glasses so I'm not sure if she was related to George but I do know she was a team player. Then the bartender, Kaylee (not sure if I am spelling it correctly) was also super friendly and efficient and made a delicious pear martini and margarita. Michael and I shared their arancini balls appetizer which were delicious and hearty and then the steak tips which were served with a fresh vegetable medley and mashed potatoes but we replaced the potatoes with onion rings. Then the apple pie dessert with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. Everything was FANTASTIC!!!! And all, reasonable priced. I had a glass of merlot with my steak and Kaylee filled it to the rim and charged me $8. Very few places do that. You get a good bang for your buck at George's!!!

My husband and I sat at the bar last night, and Kaylee waited on us. She was so nice. She made an excellent pear martini for my husband and a margarita for me. We started with the arancini balls appetizer, which were hearty and delicious. Then we shared the steak tips dinner that came with mashed potatoes and a medley of fresh vegetables, but we substituted the potatoes for onion rings. All were very yummy! Then, for dessert, my husband had the apple pie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. That too was good, but he said the pie should have been served warm, not cold. Their prices are very reasonable, too. We will be back to this cozy establishment that serves great food! :)

A TRUE GEM OF A PLACE! We came here for breakfast two days on a four day trip! The food and portions were THAT GOOD! This will be a stop on our next trip here as well.

Went to George’s for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was a short wait (less than 30 min) and well worth it. The food was unbelievable and the service was great. They had a very large menu with lots to choose from. I had the Strawberry Nutella French Toast, and it was some of the best French toast I’ve ever had! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Great place for breakfast! The portions were incredible, no “shrinkflation” here! The staff were welcoming and attentive!

My friends and I visited this place during our weekend girls trip and we were so happy we tried it. We had brunch and it was fantastic!!! It wasn't just a regular bacon and eggs or pancakes type of food. We had the biscuits with sausage gravy and eggs, loaded avocado toast and buffalo chicken wrap with onions rings. Sounds regular, BUT DEFINITELY NOT!! Let me just say, on the first bite we all closed our eyes and said mmmmm. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and kind. If you are in Gloucester, this is a place you must go to.
