The fresh whole belly clams, and breading, are delicious, just outstanding. I just love Ipswich clams, but, alas, I live in Ohio. So, the solution is to have these great people ship fresh, shucked clams to me, packed on ice. I followed their recipe, and had some delicious fried clams. It is a little bit pricey, but there is no wastage (because the shells are removed before shipping), and it is worth the price because the clams are so tasty. Clams are also loaded with vitamins and minerals and protein, and are not at all fatty (the oil in which we fry the clams is fatty). They are just wonderful, either fried or steamed (saute some garlic in olive oil; put the clams in; stir; add white wine; steam a short time until cooked; savor the delicious clams. I will buy their clams again, perhaps even often.

As a former North Shore ,Massachusetts fisherman, having moved to Utah, I was searching out the best source for Clams. I found Intershell and ordered the Whales. While they were delicious, they were a little too chewy for me so I called them. They bent over backwards, trying to make me happy. Which they eventually did. I am very impressed by how much they cared. particularly Rose and Charlotte. !! They shipped their seafood, well chilled, and well protected against thaw. All the way to Utah …it came on time and I couldn’t be happier.
