The best fish and chips I’ve found in New England, if you like thick batter.
This seafood spot is a gem for both fresh seafood shopping and enjoying delicious dishes (lobster roll, chowder, fish'n'chips). You can also get the freshest oysters, which they’ll shuck and serve for a small extra fee. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The oysters were absolutely delicious, and everything is very affordable. Highly recommend!
The guys were very friendly there.
Soup and oysters were just perfect. It's better to order oysters before you come.
I was trying to find such a place for a long time
Helpful staff...quality food.
Turner's Seafood Market has the freshest seafood, the best fish and prepared food selection north of Boston. Be sure to try their amazing crab cakes, delicious oysters rockefeller, and the best cocktail shrimp/homemade cocktail sauce we've ever had. We're so happy that this year they added several new menu items including a lobster roll and fried fish sandwich served on toasted brioche buns, we’ve tried them all and they are the BEST around!
Everyone at Turner’s is always so friendly and helpful. They work so very hard, their above and beyond service is appreciated and it’s great that they are also open from 9AM-7PM. Plus, working that fryolator in tight quarters, especially in the summer is not easy. We're so fortunate to have this hidden gem right here in Gloucester. Thanks for all you do and please keep trying new things!
PS: Although there is no dining availability here, their takeout travels well, imagine that the fried fish ’n chips and fries are still crispy when we get home - that never happens!
Always well stocked, super fresh product, helpful staff. If I have one comment, it is that the parking feels like anarchy, but it works!
Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Just got back from Northern Scotland, and the fish and chips at Turners are not to be beat! Delicious! We also enjoyed a delicious lobster role, and the amazing clam chowder. No need to add any salt or pepper , it’s perfect the way it is! Thank you ! Can’t wait to be able to come back again someday!
No trip to Gloucester is complete without a stop at Turners. The lobster roll can’t be beat. The clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. And the atmosphere is on point and the service makes everyone feel like a welcome local.
We stopped for lunch. I was hungry and had the fish and chips. My wife, not so much, had the fish sandwich. The food was really good and good portions. The fish sandwich was on a toasted brioche roll. The service was courteous and as fast as you would want fresh cook food to be.
Spent $13.99 for a pint of lobster bisque and absolutely no lobster in it. It’s basically a creamy broth. Wondering if the clam chowder has clams in it. Disappointed.
