Outstanding food. Amazing bartenders. Love the Apricot Chipotle Margarita & the mexican clam chowder they have is out of this world! Highly recommend getting a tequila flight if they are offering them, it is a good deal & really delicious. The Al Pastor is wonderful & the way their menu is set up is great— choose your filling & then choose the style (burrito, taco, chimichanga) it makes the menu more clear & concise & not something you need twenty minutes to read through.
We travel thirty minutes to go, at least twice a month! Thank you for your wonderful food & service :)

Review: Disappointing Service Experience Despite Good Food
I normally don’t leave reviews, but I felt compelled to after our less-than-great experience here while visiting Rockport on a girls’ trip. We were excited to find a Mexican restaurant—because who doesn’t love Mexican on a girls’ trip? The food was good, and the service started out fine.
However, at the end of the meal, things went downhill. Our server, a young woman with long dark hair, was pleasant until we asked to have separate checks for our table of five. At that point, she rolled her eyes, stomped her foot, and walked away. We could see her talking to another server and pointing toward us, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional.
Why assume five grown, middle-aged women would all be on one check? We had each spent around $50, and we always tip generously—especially on vacation. In fact, she likely would have received around a $150 tip from our table if she had simply split the checks and handled it with grace. Instead, she ignored us and rushed past our table, continuing to act annoyed. Eventually, we pooled our cash, left it in the checkbook, and left disappointed.
It’s unfortunate, because we were polite and kind the entire time. We’ve all worked in customer service, so we understand how hard that job can be. That’s why we always go out of our way to tip well. But her reaction was uncalled for and left a sour ending to what had been a nice meal.
If you’re visiting Rockport and want good Mexican food, this place is worth a try—but be sure to ask for separate checks upfront to avoid the same issue. Hopefully, the management can address this behavior so that future guests feel welcome and respected.

I've been here several times and everything I've had has been great. My new best Mexican food ever. I can't wait to come back.
The ambience was a bit boisterous so it made conversation difficult. The decor was nice. Service was relatively attentive.
The food offered a wider selection of flavors than other Mexican places I visit. The entre menu seemed complex, but basically each item was the choice of protein/meat and fig each you could choose taco/burrito/chimichanga/bowl. A nice way to present it once you figure it out. I had the mole taco - good but it seemed a little over salted. Someone else at the table said the same ov their al pastor bowl. My wife though the poblano chimichanga was excellent.
The one service disappointment was the vegan rajas burrito order that was served topped with cheese. The server comp'ed us that meal which was appropriate since the diner couldn't each much of it, but it reflects poorly on the kitchen.
